  1. Ive got one of the new S series with the ZR trem. The trem is brilliant, feels odd at first as it has a different feel to your standard Floyd. The only problem with mine is the sound ive tryed several pickups and i just cant get it to sound good with my setup. Appart from that its a comfortable guitar to play and i may just have a bad 1, as i have played others that sound good. But i would try b4 u buy no matter what any way if possible, i dont know how much that stuffs gonna be worth in Canadian $ but its a steal if u convert that into GBP £. T
  2. how much does it weigh?! it looks amazing and very comfortable to play look foward to seeing it finished. T
  3. I like the shape its just wayyyyyyyy to long imo. And that blue flame does look killer!
  4. How are you going to have the pickups held together? thats the bit im most interested and concerned with if you want to stick with the "floating" idea of the design i can imagine it getting quite awkward.
  5. Use the Q Tuners!!! they are amazing still havnt got around to making a sample clip (waiting for new mixing desk) but i have a set in my RG and they are brillaint and people are always going "what the hell are they in your guitar!?!" - or just use the same design if your making your own, but i dont know how feasable that is. T
  6. Ello welcome to PG forums your design looks like a guitar that has melted or is melting... because at the headstock it is a bit pointey and then the horns are rounded and then the bottom of thebody is falling onto the floor... it just doesnt flow very well IMO and it doesnt look very comfortable to play either. When i approach my designing i think 1 - is it going to look ace then 2- is it going to be comfortable to play. Because these are the 2 most important Qs. Again if you like the design thats all thats important really but ive had a design that ive thought is brilliant looked at it again a few days later and picked out all the faults and bits that dont quite look right. Hope this helps Tom
  7. its really not noticable... when i first read your thread i was like wat the hell is he on it looks awsome... then checked the other pics and realised what you meant... I would leave it as is noone else is going to notice it unless you point it out to them. That blue colour is sweet but i dont like the pickguard ruins the decent wood.
  8. Wow spoilt for choise this month... every one looks fabulous i wouldnt mind owning any of them. Skelf - Love the wood choices and the details with the lams and matching headstock. Only thing i would do differently is add something to the fretboard its screaming for an inlay of somekind. WezV - I like the laminate in the scarf joint adds a nice touch to it just not a huge fan of the body shape seems bulky and a little plain compared to the others. Marcovis - Love the colour of the top and that is an awsome looking carve. Wish the neck matched the body as i like my necks to match the body. Inlay work looks top notch! Pukko - wow... the attention to detail is fantastic its a really nice design and all the small details really set it off. again to agree with Godin i would have prefered a matching neck to the body and that would have made it perfect! rogerabjet - kool idea not something i would personally go for but suits the surfer and the waves lapping onto the fretboard is a nice touch. perry - Your work is always a pleasure to see always done to a very high standard and i like the hotrod look. croaticum - looks nice and clean. love the touch of having the Dominator written on the heal just seems outa place trying to compare it to the other styles here. but great work. Ok they are my views on all of em. but still dont know who im gonna go for... its a tough one! T
  9. i think the current headstock works really well. compliments the body well.
  10. all i really did was shift the bottom back a little so it follows the top horn contour a little more but i would have the bottom waist cut in a bit sharper but like i said is just a quick idea. also made the top horn slioghtly shorter. ive gone design mad at the moment cuz i enjoy doing it so much lol.
  11. the first time i looked at this i thought meh doesnt seem that spectacular but the more i look at the nicer it seems to get. especially with the details in now. great work. although something feels off about it... just did a quick corel draw pic of what i would do i just think it flows a little better still needs fine tuning but u get the idea.
  12. i think a restoration job would be a kool project go for it! and the black white theme seems kool.
  13. wow it looks great! love the colour combo very old school yet individual. good job! T
  14. ok wow. the q tuners sound awsome just wired em up and got my rg all strung up and set up.... and just wow... if u want a really smooth sound that fills out really nicly this is the pickup 4 u!! sounds really natural and 0 hum at all watsoever! and looks awsome too, every1 is gonna take a doiuble look. will get clips soon having issues with recording at the moment.
  15. I know what you mean and the arm contour is just a general idea its not exact. i will be playing around with that when i start doing it as the edges are going to be rounded over anyway (like a strat). Also my Q tuners arrived today i will have them in hopfully this evening and some sound clips as soon as i have time. I will do some clean and some metal sounding distorted stuff.
