  2. I made a solid lacewood 7 string and it was nice. Worked well for the lower strings. Made it "crisper" sounding. It was heavy! It had a tight pattern to it.

  5. Visually, I like it on the ebony better, but I am a sucker for maple boards.
  6. His frets have more radius to them towards the outside of the neck ("E" strings) and he also has shims under the middle saddles of the trem to accomodate the radius of the neck.
  7. If you line the container with a plastic trash bag, then poke a hole in the bottom when done, shouldn't the paint stick to the bag as the water drains out?

  13. Do you have access to JEM plans/measurements? They are the same.....just wider pup routes and wider neck route.

    7's just don't sell enough to justify a production model. And ultimately it's up to Joe
  17. Swamp Ash is lighter, more porous than Ash. From the same tree, but the Swamp Ash is from the base of the tree...hence the term...Swamp Ash. I use both and regular Ash can get heavy. The swamp portion of the tree is limited making it less available, making it more expensive, and personally find it worth the $$

  20. That's Guns, Girls and Guitars (or something like that). It isn't chrome. It's nickel plating. There has been discussions on "other" forums about this if you wanna check it out.
