  1. Nice one. I remembered that I already knew bron-yr-aur !! I play it in CACGCE tuning though. I learned it a few years ago, the day after visiting the actual farm where it was written. I think a family bought it and renovated it, but it was like an old shed when I went... an old shed high up a very muddy hill. I reckon I was higher though Never thought of the Clapton stuff. I'll leave them out though, 'cos they're so well known, and peeps will want the lyrics. Also, I've just been given a Martin Taylor cd and it's just what I'm after. Gonna start on Summertime tomorrow 'cos it sounds the easiest. Thanks for the replies, anymore will be appreciated.
  2. Hello Everyone I've been asked to play at the opening of a friends new bar, and I was wondering if you could give any suggestions as to songs. He's asked for acoustic instrumental stuff and the only one I know is Classical Gas !! It's ok though, I've got about eight weeks before the opening night. It'd be a great help if you know of the tabs to any of your suggestions, it'd make my life a lot easier !! Thanks in advance.
  3. Cheers widdly. There was no pot in it when I got it. It was basically just an A1 condition casing and a few wires.
  4. Just picked up and old volume/expression pedal for my Zoom effects. I got it for £2 because it needs rewiring and a new pot. Anyone know a good schematic/diagram for the job ?? Also, I was gonna use a 500k pot that I have lying around, but I've heard 1000k are better. Any thoughts ?? By the way, it's just got one stereo jack, the sort that does both in and out signal jobs. Thanks in advance.
  5. I had the same dilemma a few years ago. The guitar in question was only ever really used for recording, but it did a great job. First, rip out all wiring including pots and selector switches. Then, wire each pickup first to an on/off switch, and then to a dual concentric pot. I got mine in Liverpool for £5 each. http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Electronics,_p...ntrol_Pots.html I found this a really good way of getting that 'strat sound' (which let's face it, you need a strat for) and getting the SG controllability. You could also add a phase switch to the middle pickup, but it's up to you. I never did because it was a studio guitar and I could cancel hum or get different sounds through effects or the desk. Hope this has been of some help.
  6. Hello Can anyone help me with a wiring diagram for a Hohner 'The Jack' headless guitar ?? It's got one of those tone blend switch things on it (which is wired up fine) but it's the pickup solder points I need help with. I seem to remember there was an odd contact for the humbucker. A full diagram would be MUCH appreciated !! Thanks in advance.
