  1. Yes I cut the fretboard today.I glued the neck on and have begun carving the neck pocket in back.
  2. Some work done this week. MOP bass clef inlay at the 12th fret. 1/8" Padauk lam on headstock and MOP inlay Volute and neck carve started
  3. Nice. I play through a silverface Bassman. Not exactly hi-fi bass LOL! That Bassman was my first bass amp,I got back in 1979 for $200.00. I left it in a apartment when I moved. :D The SVT was too heavy for me.Loved the tone and power though.
  4. I drilled where the two volumes and Master Tone Pots go.Also included is the Macassar Ebony fingerboard and the Bridge pieces.Lightly rubbed with Tru-Oil

  6. Pickups are DiMarzio DP123`s The Tuners are Hipshot lightweights and the bridge is the same as on my last bass.(Pictured)

  10. I will make it the same shape as my last bass. I may make the Top all Padauk,and you just see the neck lams from the back.I havn`t decided yet ,but the Padauk has some cool burl type figuring in two different spots which are so similar they will look bookmatched.

  12. Does this work on 34" also,like if the F# was the nut .Could you just cut at the second fret, does it become a 30 3/8" scale bass???
  13. Hey Dig, Post a shot with a mineral spirits wipedown,I don`t want to wait to see that grain!!! Frikin beautiful!!!
  14. Almost done. It`s wired up and sounds and plays great. I`ve got a Tun-o-matic bridge and a Tru-oil finish Bartolini with a pre-amp.   15. You can use end cutting pliers or nippers and grind them more flush.Nip the wire then file and sand.
  16. Radius the board and then cut the slots deeper.After you fret it and sand the edges you can fill the slots on the side with a drop of CA glue with wood dust and sand it flush.
