its a gotoh quick release bridge. i could try a neck shim indeed. thanks for your help. yes i guess it is just an experience thing i tend to just throw myself in at the deep end and learn as i go along. atleast i learned something.

i made a bass and it looks good sounds good and all but i kinda messed up the placing of the bridge its a 26 fret high c 5 string and the intonation is a tad sharp above the twelve fret. ive moved the saddles as far back as possible so am i right in thinking theres nothing else i can do and just live with it slightly out? any help or advice would be very much appreciated.

cheers thats a big help i just looked at some delano pickups but they are mostly active and a bit bank balance draining so i'll just go with my original plan thanks again.

they are dual coil open passive soapbars i was wanting to put them together to make a kind of uber pickup

hi i was wondering if anyone could help me out im building my own bass (as you do) and i want to put both of the pickups directly beside each other (so that they are touching) so that i can get them right in the sweetspot of the bass. im wondering if this would cause any problems with feedback or the pickup magents if i make them touch. any help would be great. cheers roots

Single Coil With Separate Volume

i have it working as a blend control kind of like you said thanks, but the single coil works fine on full when the humbuckers are both on but when only one is on the single coil cuts out if i turn the volume over half way and it seems to take some of the power away from the humbuckers when the single is at zero. i dont maybe thats something i'll have to live with it does sound awesome when all three are on though thanks again. hey i kinda need some help my brothers guitar has two humbuckers a 3way selector switch a volume and a tone he asked me to put a single coil in for him so i did and he wanted it to have its own individual volume so i put that in and wired the yellow wire to the ground and the black wire to the middle of the volume and connected the other volume to it and the separate volume doesnt work on its own but i think it does when the other volume is on.help please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i dont like the new singer too much but yeah sepulnation is awesome, i do love rootsbloodyroots and refuse/resist , but i think frontlines and carved inside are just as good.

hey everyone i was wondering if any one would be kind and enough to draw me up a wiring diagram or even just give me some general tips or advice. im making my own bass and im planning on using two soapbars, one volume, one three way micro switch for a pickup selector and another three way micro switch for a tone control with three different tone settings (i would like a different capacitor for the up position, not one in the middle, and a different one at the bottom position or distortion???) please help!!!
