  1. Whatever floats your boat. I say tomayto You say tomahhhhhto. Like the idea though and it's multi-functional too!
  2. There's no easy way around trying to paint words and you probably want it small too. I suggest stencil (but of course, not out of paper) I know they (I don't know where you live but there's Michael's in Canada where you can find lots of artsy materials) have these plastic blanks you can write and cut stencils out. But then again, if the writings are too small it wont work at all. To small by means of regular font 10-12ish. Or this might be a bad idea in some ways but you can do the writing as a 'logo' like in this tutorial by Jehle Or maybe you can get a detailed artist to use a paintBRUSH to do it for you. I'm sure lotta people who work in tattoo shops are good at these stuff. (But then again.. I never met a tatto artist in my whole life. Except those that work in streets or amusement park.. think they're called something Heina ... blahhh) Hope this helps. and oh. Stencil MUST be cut by exactal knife.
  3. Hey cool Nice job on the wood but the horns look a bit off *ditto To me it looks like a hybrid of RG/Strat/SG Btw what color are you going to paint it? Keep up the good work
  4. By the way does the length of the tremolo block have any effect on the sound or usage? I mean I would think that longer block since the torque distance is longer, it's easier to bend with lesser power pressing the trem.bar Or that's what I would assume. Anything else? thx! and man... tremolo units are waaaayyy overpriced. its just a chunk of iron with little bits...
  5. its okay I dont think he was trying to screw me up or anythin. I saw that tutorial before and thought I dont think that's right cuz the shapes are too random. and thx rhoads I guess I won't try it now. Maybe in few years after experience. for now.. I guess I'll keep using these cans
  6. edit: Oh sry. It makes it sound like Im doing the tutorial. but im asking for it. sry Hi I've seen this guitar for a lonnnnggg time around and it looks stunning. The finish and details.. The guitar is the Jackson Kelly series here Anybody have any idea how to do this?? Or it's just one of those from guitar factories you can't imitate.. (hopefully not.. ) Thx in advance!
  7. Thx for the helps! I didn't even know about that Floyd Rose site! and sry. im a newbie with all these stuff What ya mean by 'shorter block'? Thx in advance
  8. Hi Im a long time viewer and as u can tell by my nickname ima Anyways I recently bought the Saga ST-10 (its a guitar kit that comes with 3 piece basswood body, maple/rosewood fingerboard neck, prewired pickguard, etc) basically all I gotta do is paint and finish, cut the headstock But I love the Floyd Rose Tremolo, actually I love tremolo period, but the vintage tremolos are lot more limited than say Ibanez LoPro, Floyd Rose.. especially the one Satriani plays So I was wondering if I could modify the routing (which has the routing for Fender vintage tremolo) so I could put in a Floyd Rose or Ibanez along with the Locking Nut. I often hear people say its too much trouble modifying it to Floyd Rose. That it's easier to just buy a guitar with a Floyd Rose system. So if any, i mean ANY comment, advice, help, lecture, etc. could help! Thanks a bunch (i just noticed how formal my writing is... wierd...) oh and i did search the forum but i think i got one where there was a guy who had some other guitar that he wanted to put a Fender tremolo in. which is pretty much opposite of what im trying to do... =/
