    This is 10 coats now,sanded back twice,and obviously i'm gonna go for plenty more coats (20?) so 30 in all sounds good? it's actually flattened out a fair bit,but its slow going as i have to run to the shed to spray and run back in doors (bloody rain) i'm still having trouble taking decent pics tho,i'll have to get some out side pics once it's better eather wise Rob

    Nah the body is a rg7620,i'm planning on building a left handed 7 string body,but routed righty as another project,i'm gonna play with photo shop to see what it might look like first tho Thanks for the nice comments Rob

    My RG custom is my beater guitar,Without sounding harsh,I've re-finished it 3 times this year alone,and it's about ready for another go :-( The neck has been repaired 3 times,been through 2 trems and god knows how many differant pickups and wiring types,it's a test bed for everything i get an idea for All that abuse,and if anything it's the neck joint that is the most stable part :-) Rob

    Actually,My AANJ rg custom's neck is held by 4 normal neck screws from a charvel,No washers or nowt,Been like it for well over a year and not had any problems what-so-ever Rob

    What would you like to know? Exactly how many times i've sworn and cursed at it lol ... Ok,Here are my plans ... 1,To get a ton more clear on it,Adding depth i'm hoping and bringing out a bit more of the veneered top 2,trade the 2 black DiMarzio blaze pickups for white jobbies 3,dig out my white tone and vol knobs instead of the cream i had to hand 4,Most probably ditch the scratchplate and direct mount the pups (scracthplate has no mounting holes yet) 5,Yes that is a genuine UV777BK neck,since i have a UV777BK i got it to be the perfect pyramid partner lol 6,Barring disaster,the back and sides will remains natural basswood? 7,await arrival of all chrome hardware for neck and body :-) 8,build it,wire it,then most probably drop it and start again The top really is But i'm not so good at photography,any pointers to photing flame?     What do you guys reckon? The pick-ups are resting in place,And so are the knobs etc ... I'm quite happy so far,Just awaiting chrome hardware to finish it off (well that and about 30 more coats of clear) Comments i'd appreciate,I'm scared to show you guys my work as your all very talented Rob
