  1. Yeah, we have all the equipment needed to paint it with the automotive stuff, it just didn't seem as easy, lol.
  2. Ok guys, yesterday I just happened to have been at a place that carried Krylon rattle can paint. I bought one can of black, and a can of the "satin" overcoat. Is it a bad idea to use the rattle can as opposed to the automotive paint? I have access to both, and with every car-related thing I've done - rattle can just has not performed like I had hoped. This is part of the reason I only bought one can of it. The other being - I don't know how many to buy anyways. I was just wondering if this would turn out good with what I have just bought, or should I just slap the car paint on it, and use the satin clear on it?
  3. A Metallica fan obviously, I must say - LET US SEE!!!
  4. Man, re-readin' that, I was really vague - it's a lot easier than I made it sound... It already is a bass, so there goes most of the work... BUT it is in the long scale, and I'd like to shorten it up - I guess this means your plan could still work tho - switch out the neck from a guitar or something, and make the head accept the bass tuning stuff... Do you think this would work?
  5. I was wondering how hard it would be? I finally found THE guitar I have been looking for, but I also know that I have been on a "witch hunt" for a short scale bass lately to add some variety to my bass closet. I was wondering what do I need to do to accomplish this? Do I need to search for a short scale neck and try to slap it on, and be done with it? Or what needs to be done, this would be an awesome set up if it could work.
  6. Drop me a line at fuel_pak@email.com - can you do this like on the bridge and stuff like that too? That is what I am intrested in... How much is what I am kinda looking at now, I had an incident, and now I am short on cash lol... Women, sheesh j/p
  7. I was just wondering whatever happened to that old website "Used Gear By Mail"? They had some nice stuff for nice prices, and itwas really convienent. They were a branch off of "Daddy's Junky Music" I believe, and had the best service I'd been around - a friend ordered 2 guitars off of there, and was more than pleased both times. I was just wondering if this place or one just like it existed now?
  8. There is some kinda big thing going on Halloween night locally here with bands from what I understand, and I think we may be part of it, although they haven't asked us or any other bands I know of any questions yet. Anyway, I guess I kinda am decorating for halloween then? lol I need some skull tuning keys, knobs, and I'd like to have a new bridge possibly - the bridge can definitely wait tho, it plays nice as is. ThanX guys...
  9. Someone said they'd do it for 100 bucks? I'll have my neck in the mail tomorrow if you'll repeat the process with my Warlock?
  10. I was wondering how much it'd run me to get my inlays changed to skulls or something like that??? I think that'd help the mood of my Warlock bass immensly. I have no idea how to do it, but would like to get it done so that I could be a show off basically.
  11. Do you happen to know where I can see some pics of this job that the urban is done on? I think that sounds sweet.
  12. I can't find a BC Rich Ironbird in bass format... lol If I could find one of those in need of finishing, I'd be on it in a second.
  13. I found an awesome bodies guitar that I'd like to make into a bass, what all do I need to take into consideration, and is it possible to make it work?
  14. OH! And also, do I need to add any adhesion or flex agents into the paint to support them? I know on cars with plastic or fiberglass parts, we have to use both, because the stuff dun like staying on if ya don't use them.
  15. Wow thanks guys, and I must say that the blue warlock up there is really an awesome job... I'd definitly have been satisfied with something like that as my finished product... I ain't all that picky. So as you (Brian) say just use a flat clear- what color should I use under that? Because the Gibson gothic series isn't a deep black satin, it's a more black with a gun metal gray tint with the flat clear coat over it... Or is it just a normal black that looks different under the flat clear coat?
