  1. YOU KNOW, I DON'T THINK HE KNOWS WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT?? I ASKED HIM AND HE COULDN'T EXPLAIN.
  2. PETE, YOUR AWESOME!! IT IS NICE TO BE BACK, I WAS OUT OF COMMISION FOR 2 YEARS, GOT HURT, BUT I AM DOING ALRIGHT. ONE OF THESE DAYS I NEED TO PUT ALL MY GUITAR KNOWLEDGE TO WORK AND BUILD MY OWN. AS YOU PROBABLY KNOW I HAVE DONE ALOT OF RESEARCH FOR THE 3RD PARTY (boyfriend) AND I AM PRETTY SURE I KNOW MORE THAN HIM...LOL..
  3. On the humbucker pickups, one wire is the ground and one is the positive. Also, if possible, he wants diagrams and/or mods where the capacitor is placed differently than the stock wiring...
  4. My boyfriend recently purchased a Gibson epiphone at a swapmeet. He refinished the guitar and has been having a hard time with the wiring. I have looked for wiring diagrams for him, but haven't had much luck. The guitar has 2 humbuckers, they are 2 wire NOT 4 WIRE. It also has 2 tones and 2 volumes. Does anyone have any good wiring diagrams???Please!!!! Any type...He wants to experiment with different sounds. Also what is the best way to ground it. Thanks...JULIE
  5. Has anyone seen, or have a guitar that the body is shaped like a woman, or part of a woman's body? If so got any pics, or links to em?
  6. Here is a pic of the back of the guitar, I still have to cut more out to get to my wiring easier, instead of removing the pickplate everytime.
  7. sustainer......next project. as for the trem, it is only an illusion. I will post a few more pics to show you. The body is actually still quite thick their. You know, actually I think next project is another guitar, that is thin with the same amount of thickness all the way through and figuring out the trem thing.
  8. as for mickguard , I am so sorry, I was not paying attention earlier and still thought it was psw replying, forgive me, You Rock, and You Shred. lol. Is that enough brown nosing? Just joking. Please forgive me. And pete sorry about the size of my pics, I will correct in the future. I forgot how frickin huge they are when I put them on my compute. My is screen is huge, so I don't keep in mind about everyone else's.
  9. I was trying to give you an idea here on how thin the guitar is, compared to the one next to it. AND HERE!!!!!! fixed !!!!!!
  10. AND HERE!!!!!! FIXED!!
  11. THIS ONE IS TOO BIG TOO!~~~
  12. PETE, YOU ROCK!!!!!!! Let me add that the feedback has been completely "microphonic" I should of stated that from the get go. I keep saying to everyone, " it acts like a microphone", (duh, Julie) You just helped me out. I bet the plate isn't screwed down good enough. Check out my better pics, if you look closely the pickplate is hammered also. My screws aren't all the right sizes either. to be continued.......
  13. everything is grounded to the volume pot. crappy pic, i will post better one here shortly.
  14. http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e111/jul.../Picture068.jpg I obviously worded my question wrong, but didn't realize it until after you guys replied. Yes, since installing the pickplate, I get mainly alot of feedback, and a low hum. I only get it though, when I tap anywhere on the pickplate, which is really mind-boggling. When I am playing I the feedback and/or hum goes away, but i can hear my pick on the strings, like it is metal to metal. Here are some picks of the guitar. Figured I might as well post a few with the help I had been getting for in the electronic department. So perhaps it is some kind of weird loop I created. Man, I am going to have to take apart all over again. lol. YOUR PIC IS TOO BIG!!!!
