  2. Well I’ve done a lot of that too. I’m just trying to get it as small as possible for transport. Down the line I’d like to make a custom case for it with foam inserts to hold the body and neck, maybe even build a Pignose style amp into the case too. But for now I need to figure out a fast and easy, but secure, way to attach the neck. If I could do that, I could cut the overall size in half for travel. <a href="https://ibb.co/XWpGgrc"><img src="https://i.ibb.co/qD92f3T/IMG-2513.jpg" alt="IMG-2513" border="0"></a> <a href="https://ibb.co/XShJ0T5"><img src="https://i.ibb.co/wM96G1Q/IMG-2509.jpg" alt="IMG-2509" border="0"></a> <a href="https://ibb.co/1sKL1XN"><img src="https://i.ibb.co/DGkthMF/IMG-2512.jpg" alt="IMG-2512" border="0"></a> <a href="https://ibb.co/Sv0p8KD"><img src="https://i.ibb.co/s3QrGFp/IMG-2514.jpg" alt="IMG-2514" border="0"></a>
  3. Hello, first time posting here. I am in the process of building a travel guitar, something small that I can fit in an overhead bin on a plane or easily carry with me to a bonfire to play with friends. I’m using a neck I salvaged from a cheap starter guitar and the body is a custom design from some mahogany I had. My question stems from the fact that I would like the neck to be easily removable, something that could be done as quickly as possible. My original thought was to have threaded inserts in the neck and an Allen head bolt/screw so I could assemble the guitar when I got where I was going. But I’d like something even faster than that. My question is, is there some sort of quick connect fitting I can use that is both easy to remove, but also sturdy enough and doesn’t have any play so that it could be used to fasten the neck? Not sure if this is just a pipe dream short of custom engineering and machining some sort of fitting, or if something already exists that I can make work. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
