    Thanks for the reply. I have been looking at those Stew Mac Saf-t-planer's. I wander if those can be mounted from underneath a tabletop. I dont know how weel they cut upside down. Anyone try this?

    I got this at a moving sale for $500.00 in like new condition (I know, it was a steal). I have never used one before and I'm looking for some info on what this thing can actually do for guitar building. Any info is much appreciated.

    Just so you know I have not tried this yet...........But For about $5 you can get one of these scrapers and cut the handle off and JB Weld an old drill bit for the shank. Get the Stew Mac insert of your choice, and all for about $10 bucks. Scraper Pic If you try this method be sure to get a scraper with a straight head, some are angled.
