thank all wow i should have realized it was a hot topic But interesting anyway. so Im still lost but it does give me something to think about I might jst have to experiment

How much does the wood efect the tone on a solid body? There are guitars made of mdf I think I know acrylic and seems about evry wood on the planet, graphite Carbon fiber is there really a diference in tonal quality or is it tradition I realize some is just gorgous to look at but it seems to me that the frets and pickups and bridge alone would determine the sound sicne its the vibrations picked up by the pick up and not through the wood. I havent tried anything like ply wood although its used in other instuments. such as a pedal harp I dont mean a cheap or shody one either. its used in the sound chamber and in the sound board. Has any one actually compared other materials for bodies, or necks?

I though Id tell you all about a new Air brush I used to spray clear coat with that actually laid an incredible finish down so fine it just needs to be polished i have no sandind to do its a nfairly new company to the airbrush world and if you are looking for a brush to do detail and spray clear coat with and dont want to buy two brushes this may fit your bill. its a Grex Air brush model Genisis.XT its designed to shot hair line to about 2 inch wide pattern and it was designed for mural work which means it was made to spray large and small areas. I really like the finish it gave me.

Thanx Guys this is my first floyd install and That nut looks like a saw to me so i want ed other opinions on it before I file out the frett board and it turnred out that it would be just as well to install a good nut intsead

Do you you guys use the floyd rose nut or do you prefeer a standard nut when using a floyd rose tremelo? if you do use the floyd rose do you cut out behind the zero fret spot to mount it ?

Gohto are the way to go cant beat the qulity for the price
