  1. what's a 3L-3R headstock? how much does it cost to bind the fretboard anyway? I plan on doing the body binding myself, and is that hard?
  2. I forgot to mention that the pickups, inlay, fret board and bridge are all not my designs. I just took them off a PRS design cuz I was lazy to draw it out in photoshop. The pickups will probably be duncans. the there will only be one inlay at the 12th fret. As for the bridge, I haven't had time to research on it. The guitar shouldn't look too different from what it looks like now. And yeah, i do think I should fatten the body a little more, but maybe not in the PRS way, I'd fatten it up to the angular look for the 1st and 3rd. As for the cloning, I don't want to be too adventurous. So it's kinda like a PRS/Ibanez SA shape mix, with some minor adjustments. It's lopsided, the right is slightly lower than the left. not very noticeable. but yeah you can call it a PRS look-alike, but I did draw it from scratch, with reference to PRS and Ibanez. \ (pic adjusted, thanks for pointing it out before the mods do! )
  3. hi there, I'm from Singapore and yeah this is my first post here. Have been reading all your posts and learning from them, very helpfull so far. Anyway, I've decided on starting my own project. It won't be done so fast, so for those interested in active WIP updates, I'm afraid I'd have to disappoint you as they would come only at the end of this year. I've finished my concept design and art: 4 concepts, the 1st and the 3rd are the initial designs. The 2nd and 4th are a more generic design, most probably what I'm gonna work on. need your comments on which of the four will be the best. Currently I've decided on the 4th, but am open to suggestions. So far, the specs in consideration are: 25" scale Fixed Bridge Double humbuckers Tone knob, Volume knob, Three-way pickup switch Neck: Mahogany/wenge/mahogany Body: Flame Maple/Mahogany(1 and 3) or Wenge/Mahogany(2 and 4) well, details are pretty rough, comments are welcome. It would be good if someone can tell me roughly how much it will cost to get the woods, especially Flame Maple tops. I live in Singapore, just south of Malaysia. Thanks for reading.
