That looks really cool! The swirl effect is very subtle and tasteful. Please keep us updated on how the clear coating goes as I plan on trying something like this myself for my next project.

Quick question: How did you get your lacewood to stay that nice red colour? My Dad and I are working on building a guitar now and we also have a strip of lacewood down the middle of the neck. However, in some places where the neck was sanded the lacewood isn't very red, in fact it looks like it's covered in dust! Any help is very much appreciated!

Classical guitars generally tend to have no neck angle whatsoever.
