I cant believe my money went down the drain OK heres the story: I bought the wood and left it in the shed out back I thought what could go wrong its a huge piece of wood Ok then I notice my brother skating on a ramp I asked "Where did you get the wood?" Replied "out back" I run to check if the wood was there and it wasnt then I ran out and shouted "That was supposed to be my guitar youF*&^5 sh*t" Thats the end of the story

  9. yeah its well padded inside where is a good idea to get latches? and are there any tutorials with pics here that show you how to install them? thanks
  10. broken latch broken latch with part how it should look here are the pics I promised by the way it holds a PGM 500 so I do want this guitar to be safe
  11. the latches on my guitar case they broke off the case itself it is an old ibanez case I'll post pictures later
  12. ok here it is I have a JSRR(its a cheap RR1)and it has the jack located on the lower wing/horn The RR1 has it on the upper wing/horn It doesnt have any wood top so I am wondering how you would go about connecting the wires through the wood I know that on a gibson Les Paul that there is a long route going from the pick-up selector, through each of the pick ups and the to the control cavity. I never knew that before. In this case we have a solid body JSRR guitar with no tops and a wiring from the control cavity through to the upper or longer wing/horn I doubt that you could drill a hole through the body sufficient enough to bypass the tremolo to get to the upper wing/horn fromthe control cavity situated on the lower wing/horn And I also questioned how they do it on other guitars from curiosity hope that was clear if not ask again cheers
  13. No I have a JSRR its a chep model I wanna know how they wire it there
  14. what does the routing for a Jackson RR1 look like because you have to wire the controls through the shorter wing to the longer wing? when connecting the jack to the controls is what I meant I find it hard to see where the wires would run throughout the body as I dont own any of the guitars I am trying to build All I can go on is some pictures and that is it
  15. ok so hollowing will not have much benefit but for the battery query I am gonna create 3 cavities for the pick ups and booster I am gonna have 2 for the pick ups and 1 for the gain booster is there an alternative for putting the battery inside where the control cavity is? Query about a situation If I had a 2 battery compartment and hooked that to my pick ups and one of the batteries died would the other battery still be in use or would it go dead altogether thanks
  16. I have decided to make all my guitars 25.5 inch scale I feel that this is the most comfortable for me as I find the shoter lengths to crammed up when I am playing I am building a gibson style guitar with 25.5 scale so I should make sure that the distance from the bridge to the 12 fret and 12 fret to nut are the same
  17. I want to see the routes for it and see if anyone has any wierd ones or is it important how you do the route for wiring pick ups? Does it affect the over all sound?
  18. Could someone post pictures of routings of guitars for wiring pick ups I want to move one of my jacks to another location, its a Jackson JSRR I want to make the jack go into the longer horn from the shorter horn Also I want to see some pics of wiring routing for a gibson, ESP MII, Jackson RR1, Ibanez RG and whatever you can cheers
  19. should I have 3 battery cavity routes? 2 for pick ups and 1 for the booster Also I was thinking of having some hollowed parts in the body for better sustain any suggestions on whether its a good idea
  20. does anyone have actual links to actual items I feel that I should buy the primary equipment for shaping the body, cutting the neck, etc cheers
  21. what equipment do I need and should I buy them or rent them if I will be using it a lot I think I should buy it
  22. here is a pic i done with photo shop it has 24 fret and all the controls are at the same place for convenience. NOTE: from left to right and top to bottom the controls are booster mini switch, kill switch button, tone, pick up selector and volume
  23. ok I think I got the scale thing down if I was to keep it at 24.75 for a gibson lp I would have to move the neck pick up slightly but if i was to scale it to 25.5 i should have sufficient space and not move the neck pick up please let me know if I got it
  24. i am looking for step by step stuff for specific guitars example: I am looking into replicating an Ibanez JEM7V somebody else built one and recorded all the steps involved and then posted it up so I can see the various steps in building that guitar exactly
