  1. yeah it deffinately would if i cranked it, but i should be fine. the nifty one im getting has a switch on the back that changes it from a class a head to a class a/b, so this thing could get get quiet enough for just practicing or loud enough for an auditorium un-mic'ed
  2. i would invest a small ammount of money in a pedal board if you're adding a few more pedals in there. it'd probably even be cheaper just to make your own.
  3. well they're a matching 4x12 cab and head, so i have it set up with 8 ohms stereo, compared to a 16 ohm mono. and as far as the eq goes, the built in eq does next to nothing as far as im concerned. i may as well turn the preamp off and get the same tone. but i think its just cause its a solid state. or not though. i have to other guitarists in my band, one using a tube 2x12 combo and the other using a marshall MG 4x12 cab and head. they both get loud enough to shake the house, but mine barely cuts it. as i said before, im saving up for a 100 watt tube head so maybe ill be heard now.
  4. i bought my first head about ten months ago. its a Behringer V-AMPIRE LX1200H head, 120 watts solid state and isnt loud at all. i run i through the matching behrigner slanted cab, but the volume on this thing sucks i nearly have to crank it just to be heard over some drums, and when the whole band is playing you can't hear a thing except the occasional power chord. i heard that there was some sort of volume gain on this head somewhere, and was wondering if anybody else has this amp and the same problem. im saving up for a the new Peavey ValveKing head and i might have to play a few gigs before i get it. if i do, then its gonna be hell for me to be heard, because most places i play dont mic thier cabs. if anyone can help, id appreciate it a lot!
  5. personally i use daisy chains and appropriate adapters for all of my effects. i only use boss, line 6, and then my dunlop crybaby, so thats three adapters and the rest to be daisy chained. as for euro plugs, they sell adapters online for about 2 dollars, or just buy a european one. and it seems like everyone agrees that putting the effects between the gutiar and amp sounds better then the effects loop. so thank you everyone for your help
  6. Thanks for the help with that, the site is great and explained everything to me. I now know how I want to set up my pedal board, but does anyone know if it is better to run something like this through an effects loop or just straight from my guitar to my amp?
  7. Hey, I'm working on building my own pedal board or am going to buy a pro one, but I'm not exactly how to arrange them. I know that you get a certain sound if you put a distortion before a wah, and another if you put one after. So I'm wondering what the typical away to arrange common effects on a pedal board are. Any help with this would be graet thanks! Also, my set up includes a Flanger, Phaser, Chorus, Delay, Volume Pedal, Wah Pedal, Tuner, Noise Suppressor, Compression/Sustainer, Equalizer, Reverb, and Distortion.
