  1. Whoops! I was getting an error about mail not getting sent, and I thought it didnt post, so I disabled email notification, then tried it in a different browser. I would be grateful if you could delete the solid body thread too. Thanks!
  2. Hi all. After playing electric for quite a while, I've decided to invest in an acoustic. I was thinking of making one, but it seems a tad too complicated for me. And due to my undying love for Telecasters, I came up with the idea of building an acoustic tele! I know Fender already have a model, but its not what I wanted. http://img3.musiciansfriend.com/dbase/pics...s/51/510458.jpg Thats for anyone who hasnt seen it. I was thinking of one more along the lines of what I designed below. The difference being that instead of being solid, its completely hollow. How much work do you think that would take? What about costs too? I would love to be able to hook it up to my amp too. Thanks in advance, Dan.
  3. I recently ( yesterday ) got a wilkinson by gotoh vs100 for my new axe. The thing is, the studs seem to be a very tight fit for the holes. I don't want to damage or split the wood, so any ideas on getting them in? Another thing is, how is a nut supposed to be inserted? Slid in from the side, or from the top?
  4. Would you ship to the UK? If you had a pic of the SG, I might take it off your hands.
  5. So yesterday, I went to this music shop about 2 miles away from where I live. Very few guitars, but I seen a guitar with one of the Wilkinson trems I posted a pic of, and It is this trem. Exact same measurement from post to post.
  6. By center do you mean the small hole in it? It looks like it is. Anyone any other ideas?
  7. Im talking about WHOLE BRIDGES not just tremolo studs or screws.
  8. It didnt say on the auction. I dont think its the Wilkinson because they only have 1 screw or whatever. PIC: The fulcrum tremolo's have the same routing, but I'm afraid that if I get it, they screws will be too small, as these holes are 0.9cm big.
  9. This is done usually by plain old sand paper. Just Sand them till theyre round.
  10. Hi. I got a body off Ebay. It's strat-esque, with 3 single coils, but the bridge I aint sure of. Can anyone tell me what type of hardtail it takes? I have a feeling its a fulcrum tremolo, but I'm not sure. Here's a pic. Sorry about the bad quality.
  11. I would hate to see how **** he is with his amplifiers eugh!
  12. That is honestly, one of THE most beautiful guitars I have ever set eyes upon. Now, I hate swirls, but that just really is absolutely terrific. That is ****ing great dude. Well done.
  13. Dont put it on the back of the neck. The balance problem is annoying if you put it there. Put it on the back of the top horn. Much better
  14. Very sexay. Put a few coats of clear on it and it is good enough to eat.
  15. I have a feeling english isnt your first language....
  16. Nice look. Are you getting a relic neck or a new neck and destroying, sorry relic-ing it?
  17. Here's an intresting one. An acrylic jazzmaster with an EMG 81 and 60. Seems to be quite expensive though. I dont think acrylic would cost that much. EDIT : FIXED LINK
  18. Im just shopping around for a new guitar. Im not taking specific interest in any, just browsing. Cheers anyway.

For a bit of fun, it serves its purpose. But for any serious guitarist, its nothing more than a novelty.
