  1. Cool graphics. Have you got it working now? How does she play? Here's one almost identical: http://www.guitarists.net/forum/view_bb.ph...mp;thread=65076
  2. Hey, JTech. I had the same question about my Ibanex Ex-140 a couple months ago. See this post : http://projectguitar.ibforums.com/index.ph...c=25069&hl= I used that same diagram. The simple answer is solder the bare wire to ground(back of volume pot), solder the red wire to your 5-way switch in the postition the North Start wire is in the diagram, and tape off the white wire so it doesn't short out anything. I also tried connecting the white wire and taping off the red, but there was no difference in sound. Almost forgot : since you're not coil-tapping, don't run the wire from the switch to ground like in the diagram. Hope this helps.
  3. Thanks alot, mammoth and Southpa. I was looking this up all day without finding a solution. Bare to ground, Red to switch and White taped off. Time to get soldering. Thanks again and take it easy, or any way you can get it.
  4. Hey, everyone. I have this '90 Ibanez EX140 which the previous owner wired wrong. I picked up a new 5-way switch and volume and tone pots and am ready to rewire. I have everything worked out EXCEPT the humbucker only has three wires, not the four I'm used to. Red, white, and a bare braided wire. The Ibanez website doesn't have a diagram for this guitar, and I don't know exactly what kind of humbucker it is, as it has no markings on it at all. I'm guessing that the bare is ground, and the red and white are separate hot wires. If that's the case, do I solder the red and white onto the same tab on the selector switch? It's a standard S/S/H setup with 1 volume and 1 tone pot and I'd be done with it by now if it weren't for this 3-wire humbucker. Thanks for any input.
