Hi well I recently inherited a box full of vintage capacitors resistors and other electronic components from my grandfathers estate. They were from an old NAVY radio that he had built. Well the capacitors dont have their values and they just have these capacitor codes on them and I had no idea what to do with them until I read this article.. I am trying to understand all of this but it has prooved an impossible feat so far. So my questions are. Can I measure capacitance or resistance with a multimeter? How do I identify a capacitor or resistors value? What do capacitors and resistors do to a guitars sound? What value capacitor and resistor are used inside guitars and basses? What are OHM's? Where can I buy capacitors and resistors localy besides radio shack? How are capacitors wired into a guitar? If you could explain it in lay-mans terms that would be great. Thanks

Hi yall I have decided to build a guitar kit recentley, and the only kits that I can find are SAGA and GRIZZLY I previously made one of their telecaster kits and it was pretty good but I am looking for some other solid body kits. I really liked this one I saw on Ebay This guitar kit, does anyone know who makes it or where else to buy it?does anyone know who makes them or where to get one? But What other options are their for me ? Oh and because I am tight on cash I need to keep it in about the 100-300$ range. Thanks!

dude i know that if you play the hell out of it will look like that but i for right know i just wwant to sand it down to its wood under the paint layer so i can customize it ! nothing else scrach my idea for right know about making it look trashed i just want to get down under the paint so i can either paint it or trash it up will you people please help me just get under the paint?!?!?! NOTHING ELSE NO CUSTOMIZING RIGHT KNOW JUST GETING UNDER THE PAINT TO THE WOOD UNDERPAINT LAYER THATS IT !

i dont know nuthing bout guitar mechanics can someone give me a good idea of how to take the hardware out and put it back in with it still working?!?!?!?
