  1. Thats gonna leave some serious belt buckle rash.
  2. I would fill the slots with epoxy when installing the frets.
  3. I used copper electrical wire, tap in with a hammer and sand it flush. The copper wire sands down very easily.
  4. Yeah that would be cool. Austin is really close to San Antonio.
  5. Oh yeah those are actually mine I gave him permission to use them. Those are guitars that people have painted using the book. I bought the book and painted the Texas flag, then I found this place and restored the iceman and painted it with rattlecans using the book. Now I am on to building my own.
  6. Anyone notice my guitar in there? Hey I just noticed I have 2 in there I never checked before. Top left corner and the Texas flag are mine http://www.paintyourownguitar.com/testimonials.html

  10. If you have a WoodCraft nearby thats where I picked up This the Adjustable Frame Fret Saw.
  11. I just noticed in that picture one of the strings is off the saddle... dammit.
  12. I have to say George Lynch because I just got home from his guitar clinic. Damn he can still shred at 56 years old.
  13. Yep, I learned they didnt know anything when I asked for some pickup mounting ring screws. I didnt look at them till I got home and they were pick guard screws. So I go back the next day and some one else tried to sell me the same thing, this time I point that these are pick guard screws and he says there the same thing.
  14. It balances pretty good that way, thats why I moved them there because they were on the center line and it seemed to fall forward alot. The strings dont feel floppy at all they feel pretty good. I was worried about them breaking because of how far back I put them. The angle going into the body is really sharp but I have been playing it all week and no breaks yet. But then agin I havent broken a string on any guitar since I was probably 18.Long long ago. there are screws on the cavity covers they just match the covers. I was thinking abot magnets but never got around to ordering them. TheDistortion Mayhems are just a pair of SH-6 neck and bridge.
  15. OK Its finished!! I polished it and put all the new hardware and electronics together. I have been playing it all week and I love it. I made the cavity covers out of diamond plate. Back The whole thing I put white Seymore Duncan Distortion Mayhems in it Front Close Up
  16. Guitar Center auction process in advanced stages, source says
  17. Yeah its nice but everytime I go in there someone is beating the hell out of the drums or some kid that cant play the guitar, but thinks he can, and has the amp cranked to 11. So you have to yell at the salesmen when asking anything. And forget about trying anything cause its so loud from the wannabes that are not even buying anything. I liked it better when it was Hermes Music before GC bought them out.
  18. Here in San Antonio we have a Sam Ash across the highway from GC.
