Dear All
for my sins, I'm afraid I play 5 string banjo.
After much nagging from my wife, I am attempting to build a sweeter sounding instrument.
Not wishing to learn guitar, I would like to fit a 5 string banjo neck to a solid guitar type body.
I have built the neck, the body I have yet to make.
The neck has 25 frets with a 32 inch scale. (Pete Seegar long neck).
The distance from the last fret to the bridge is 7 inches.
The whole exercise is for an electric guitar sound.
If anyone has information re. a pickup for a 5 string instrument
I would be very grateful.
