    ok, im haveing incredibly annoying fret buzz on the first fret of my low E string, i can actually see that the string is stupidly close to the fret (well below a millimeter) what im wondering is whether to replace the nut as i do think this is the problem, or do i try and mess with the truss rod? there are no problems on the other strings though. ive also heard about putting a shim underneath the nut, but as its only the one string, im not sure whether this is a good idea... do any of you lovely people have any suggestions?

    ok, this was my last project, and although proud of it, there are quite a few mistakes that ive had to learn from to finish my current project. ill list the specs that i can remember... Mahogany body, set neck Mahogany neck with Ebony Fretboard, Jumbo Frets, two high output kent armstrong pickups, custom volume knob, gotoh machineheads, and my personal favourite, a tiny little bat inlay at 12th fret! http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y138/CFP/DSC03126.jpg unfortunately the only photos i got were these, and it wasnt fully completed then, i shall try and rectify that soon!

    kk, thanks for the advice, im in the process of finding the original pickup for the guitar cos microsurgery is not my forte, thanks for the help though, it did help!

    nope, your correct, there is a small amount of wire sticking out. the thing is, how would i fix it, or would it be better to replace the pickup with a new one?

    i have, and all the wiring is fine, but i think ive found the problem, the windings are damaged. and im assuming that, the winding consists of a continuous wire, which once broken, disrupts the flow of electricity.... so what options do i have? thanks by the way!

    ok, i need help with a pickup, on my Bc Rich Warlock, i found recently that the mounting screw had come out of the hole in the pickup, and upon fixing it, the pickup stopped working entirely, and im not actually sure why, but the tape around the edge of the humbucker appears to have torn. the pickup itself was taken from a PRS guitar (bought from my old tutor) and on the back there is a label with the words Vintage Bass. i Know its Hard to know exactly whats wrong without seeing it, but any help would be appreciated.
