    Thanks for everyone's responses. I looked around on the web and it appears that mexican strats have the six screw vintage tremolos on them. Going on that assumption, it looks like I'll have more work to do to get the Wilkinson on there, but it'll be worth it.

    Oh...well, I guess I'll just have to wait and see then? Which version (2 screw or six) is the most expensive for them to use? Is there a quality difference between the two? I guess I was just figuring they use the cheapest, lowest quality trem they have on the mexican strats (but I could be wrong, I honestly don't know jack about fenders).

    Thanks, I don't know if it is a six screw or a two screw (I don't have the guitar yet, my cousin is giving it to me in a couple of weeks), but it is a stock mexican strat (prob about 2 years old). Does anyone know if those trems are two or six screws?

    a wilkinson? It is a tremolo bridge on a mexican strat (not sure if that matters). I am brand new to the idea of "doctoring" guitars, but I plan on doing a bunch of stuff to this one! Thanks in advance for the help!!
