  1. I agree. the price of the wood + hardware, would be nothing compared to how nice that guitar is turning out. maybe you could finish it, then sell it, and give back the amount of money that he spent on materials and hardware, the rest is yours.
  2. Hey man, that's some nice work you've been doing. just one thing, in the pics, it looks like you leave all the glue that's been squeezed out alone to sand the excess when it's dry. my advice: After you are done with the clamps and stuff, you should wipe off all the glue that you can, before it dries. then sanding should be minimal. keep up the good work how much does it weight?
  3. Thanks for the kind words guys. after the neck is glued on, I will route a cavity between the pickups and cover that with a piece of mahogany, I was thinking maybe do something like the santana prs. but decided to try something that will be invisible after is all done. we'll se if that works out ok!
  4. yes it is, for now. I'm gonna make a radius sanding block as soon as possible. why buy it if you can make it, right?
  5. hey guys just wanted to show you my first attempt in the solid body world, I already built 2 acoustic guitars. This is my first electric any comments are welcome. there's still some work to do before I do the finish. shellac is the only thing I have access to. later on I'm gonna have to buy a air compressor and really work on those thick mirror like finishes. sorry about my poor english, I'm from Brazil and trying my best no to make any mistakes. lol rock on! http://s130.photobucket.com/albums/p270/HKNguitars/
