  1. beautiful woods, too bad the pickguard don`t fit the body perfectly nice work.
  2. i don`t think you can do it in a strat. because the upper horn doesn`t have enough room for the strapbutton to move up and down. 2 awesome tunes that feature a b bender tele: the unforgiven II by metallica and breakin down by skid row.
  3. help me! the whole world is upside down! man, that´s one good looking guitar!!! awesome!!!
  4. i like it a lot. nice work! you seem to doing your homework well! i would suggest that you wait until you have the bridge to check the height, probably you´re gonna have to put some angle on the neck. don´t know how much in the lp jr. maybe some other forum members can help you with this. but with the bridge you can work this out. keep up the good work!
  5. I`m a bit worried about that huge gap on the body joint. and the building going on without any plans, neck angle, bridge height, etc. but i learned a lot in this forum and i advise you to do lots of research here. build it slow, and if you have any questions, stop everything, dont cut/glue/rout/etc. just post your question here, we´ll be glad to help! nice work on the sanding!
  6. you forgot the rasp. my personal favorite.
  7. the really fast way of doing it. for me, would be to mark where the truss rod is, and make 2 cuts on the neck lengthwise (with a bandsaw), giving a lot of room not to hit the truss rod. and then use a chisel and hammer between the FB and the neck wood, to get to the truss rod cavity.
  8. hey bill, this build inspired me to get back to work on an old project. a copy of my first CBG using thinner woods, and a different construction. I`m guessing this one is gonna sound way better than my first one. we`ll see. I`ll post updates soon!
  9. huge fan of jeff dunham here! "sa na ta ana hey, sa na ta ana hey"
  10. hey hooglebug, this one looks just like one that I´m building now! and I like it a lot! nice work.
  11. if it weren`t for that F hole, that would`ve been one good looking guitar. it`s a shame. but aside from that, everything looks very well built! congratulations.
  12. why did you paint such nice woods? sorry, I'm a big fan of natural and translucent finishes.
  13. WOW! the coolness of that guitar is inversely proportional to its size.
  14. that`s one good looking guitar you have there!
  15. hey mattia, spanish cypress is my #1 wood choice for flamenco guitars, but I have a hard time finding cypress here, so i use spanish cedar instead, if the customer is not willing to pay some more for the cypress. works pretty well.
  16. I like it! and the retrocaster looks nice too!
  17. spanish cedar is too soft for a fretboard, I wouldn't use it. good for acoustic back and sides (flamenco style guitars sounds awesome with spanish cedar), necks, electrics body, kerfing, etc. but not for a fretboard.
  18. I love the p90s and the collective soul tune! lol
  19. I must be stupid then, because I have been searching this forum and found nothing really. I am not saying it isn't there, just that I don't know the magic invocation to summon up the right threads. When I didn`t had a bandsaw, I used to cut the body using a drill press to make several holes, each hole "touching" the last one, removed the sharp points with a chisel and then I used a router with the template.
