  1. Actually, I think that this design is starting to look alot like an Ibanez SZ. http://ibanez.com/guitars/guitar.asp?model=SZ720FM Just not quite so long of horns. Regardless, that thing will definately put out some tone. I was just wondering, what are you gonna use for the fingerboard?
  2. Hey guys, I found an old ibanez Pro Line 1660 (randy rhodes style) for pretty cheap locally. It has twenty two frets. I was just wondering if the neck pocket would accept a 24 fret wizard neck in it's place. And if anybody here happens to have a wizard neck laying around, what are the heel measurements? thanks l_d
  3. I take it I am one of the few who love BC Rich. Not this new "budget" crap they have out now mind you. I love the handmades (uncle has an old eagle), but i think that my 83 mockingbird plays beautifully.
  4. I am looking for some used (but in decent condition) 80s BC Riches. The main ones I am looking for are the stealth, ironbird, and warlock. If you find others though, post them as well. Oh yeah, I've got my eye set on the nj series but am open to others. If you guys find any somewhere or know somebody whos selling one, please post the link, pic, and site. I know I'm asking for a lot here but I thank you for having patience and for any replies I may recieve. Thanks dudes
  5. i was kinda thinking of doing something like that.......but mines a little different I was thinking of getting a tube preamp and tube power amp and making a combo cab to house them in........in other words.....a mutt version of the randall module amp combo. I would get a jmp-1 and a peavey tube power amp.......both off of ebay I don't think that i would use tolex though. I would try to cover it in camouflage
  6. I have the mt-2 and am somewhat pleased with the sound that i get out of it. Recently though (for the past few months), i don't even bother using it as my distortion. I now use a boss sd-1 instead. This, and my amps distortion create a sound tighter than the one created from just the mt-2. It also gives me more versatility. I still kind of like the mt-2, but the sound is either too trebly, or there is so much bass in it that it can't be heard alongside a bass guitar. But otherwise, it is a great pedal for the money. I havent seen or heard a hm-2 pedal. would like to though.
  7. This summer, I am gonna try to build a guitar. As of now it's too damn cold out for me to go outside. Anyway, I have access to a bandsaw, router, and have several carpenters in my family. My main question is, will I be able to make an rr neck through with a carvin neck through blank and a SINGLE alder body blank (also from carvin)? Oh yeah, the bridge will be the floyd rose from carvin's catalog. Thanks alot dudes
  8. yeah i use gibson heavy picks. The best thing that I found to do is to make little diamonds on them with a knife. I also heard that Gorilla Snot works really good too, but I haven't tried it out yet.
