  2. Hey, nice build! Looking good so far. Could you go into details about your drum sander, please? How did you realize it, and how could you center your shaft to balanced turning?
  3. yep you're right. it's a select not a surpreme. sounds good anyway moving the strap helped a great deal, but still she likes the floor a bit... i think i am going to live with that, it's way better now. thanks guys for your input!

  5. Well, thanks für your input. The guitar is a factory Gibson SG Supreme (all maple). I think i am gonna move the pin as sugested. If it helps, perfect! If not i am gonna install a Copper sheet (2 - 3 mm) in the control cavity. That ought to help, I guess And furthermore it's shielding...
  6. Hi i got a very neck heavy SG and I wanna change that. So I am wondering what to do about it. I already changed the tuners to lighter ones but the problem remains. Now I thougt about changing the positions of the strap pins. Any suggestions if that would work? I don't wanna drill holes that are useless! Have you guys other suggestions?

  10. thanks for posting the transformers. Are you sure about the output transformer? Hammond says its 25 W but the 2204 is 50W.

  12. Hi there! The topic already gives it away. I need to now the height of a P90 coil. I am about to wind one and i wanna build the bobbin myself. Most neccesary measures are given in the internet except for the height of the coil. Can anyone help? Thanks
  13. well walnut as a neck... i wanted to build a walnut neck as well. i asked a fellow luthier who build a walnut neck-through bass (4 strings). that wasn't the best idea, the customer returned the bass after half a year. fretboard off, carbon reinforcements, and new freatboard ontop. that was roundabout 3 years ago and since then there were no further complaints. just some input for you... greetings
