  1. I sanded down my old strat copy, and found this: Is this any decent kind of wood or shitty ply type crap?
  2. I want to remove the paint from myold strat copy, what's the cheapest method?
  3. Originally, I used this diagram to wire in my two ibanez pickups (ifn3 and 4) and a single coil into my strat. Now I have removed everything and want to wire this up again from scratch in a different guitar, but this time I only want the two humbuckers. So how can i modify that diagram so there is no single coil?
  4. Uhhh.... I test wired it on my older RG, and there no buzz. I connected the middle lug on the volume pot to the middle lug on the spst, and the right lug of the vol pot to the right lug of the spst. No buzz....
  5. Right, I found an spst switch iny a hotwheels thing my little bro used to use. It's a slider one, you know, not sure how to put it... so I will let google images do it for me I don't want to do any drilling to my guitar (Ibanez RG570) because i treasure it too much and would cry if I messed it up. I remember seeing a vid on youtube of some kid who installed a killswitch into a les paul junior (i think) and had it monuted externally somwhere. Any ideas on where I could put a switch. I'm thiking taping it somwhere, but tape would leave that sticky gunk.
  6. Problem, my guitar buzzes alot unless I touch either the volume or tone knob or touch the poles pieces on the pups . It doesn't however stop if I touch the strings. Its a H-S-H setup, 1 vol, 1 tone and a 5 way switch. Before you say ground it to the brige, it's a floyd rose. Any help?
  7. I was opnening up my old strat copy today, and I noticed for the first time it's routed for a H-S-H configuration, even though it came with a S-S-S setup. I recently had the pups in my ibanez changed, so I have 2 ibanez humbuckers, 5 500k pots, 2 25k pots (I think), a few stereo jacks and 2 8-way switches lying around. Would all I have to buy be a hsh strat pickguard and an spst for the killswitch? Or could I cut the pickguard myself? Please post any wiring diagrams if you have any. BTW, the humbuckers have a red, a black, a white, a blue and a bare wire coming from them, if that changes the diagram in any way.
