  1. Starting up the new thread for 2014. Got some great projects for this year. More multiscale madness, headless builds, another express run, and maybe some multiscale basses. Expect custom pickups, exotic tops, and as much instruction as I can manage. Cheers! --RAD
  2. So maybe I have a few spare minutes a weekend and wanted to do some builds for myself. What about a SG respin. Something less Gibson and more modern. It won't be like before as I am no longer "in business" just finally gotten back into playing and have a lot of wood in the old garage.
  3. I have always wanted a LP just never wanted to shell out the kind of cash to get a nice one. So why not do a kit build? Enter Fast Guitars. Kevin at Fast Guitars builds very high quality kits for a very reasonable price. You can check out his website here http://www.fastguitars.com I was ecstatic when I was given the chance to review a Standard Kit Carved Top SC from Fast Guitars. Kevin and I shot some emails back and forth then decided on the final specs. Here are some shots as it was being built at the Fast shop.
  4. Here is the first of many experiments in departures from normal build techniques. It starts out slow so keep reading. I wanted to take a new look at building modular guitars that were headless, ergonomic, visually interesting and futuristic. This is a first pass using conventional materials and construction methods to test some shapes. This is ground work for more radical changes in the future.
