Dugz Ink
What, did you sleep at a Holiday Inn Express or something? No, I'm not smart enough to get myself out of this big of a mess. It was truly a "God thing." I used to go out with a girl that was nearly as ugly as those tuners I'm putting these tuners on my guitar, not sleeping with them... and you have my condolences. ... just be EXTREMELY careful when installing them because IMO I did -not- over tighten anything. Just made it barley snug and the outside of the tuner (the casing part) just cracked and started turning ... I will be very careful. Thank you for sharing your pain! Mickguard
I'm pretty mad that I have $100 tuners just sitting here collecting dust. They have been broke for about 4 months I'd say. The last set of Grover locking tuners I received from Stewmac had a broken tuner in there --the locking shaft end wasn't properly attached --before I could even install them. I wrote to Grover about it...I had a replacement within a week! Free. Did you ever contact Steinberger/Gibson about this problem? Then again, Grover advertises a lifetime warranty. Maybe Steinberger doesn't have one?
