Dennis
hey guys, i'm new to the forum. i just bought the same type of bridge. the design is similar to an s-trem, but instead of a direct pull tuning system, it's a modified gear system. kinda like a regular tuner made to fit in that tiny space. the ball-end goes at the headpiece and the non-ball-end goes to the bridge side. there's a tiny hole that it goes through (i trim the string so it only makes one full turn) and u tune it. i dunno if it's less stable (in staying in tune) than a direct pull (steinberger) but it seems ok. much better bridge than the "overlord of music" r-trem clone. much.
