  1. For now signatures are allowed as we all enjoy having our own little statement to add to each post, but any signature that is linked to a business site is off limits (this includes everyone).

If you enter any of the contests here on the forum posted either by myself or anyone else willing to give out a legit prize please have a valid e-mail address in your profile so that we may contact you to arrange delivery of that prize.

  2. This contest will run the length of November :D

Everyone that participates following the rules listed below will become a winner. :D

All you have to do is submit a link in this thread that is relevant to the Project Guitar.com web site.

    The rules :

    1. It must be a site that is either useful in the modification, building or repairing of guitars and you should post where you think the site should go in the Project Guitar website.

    2. No retail sites- links to sites such as Musicians Friend or other places that just sell guitars and equipment have no real relevance to the concept behind project guitar. The only exception would be sites of manufacturers for the "Obligatory Guitar Manufacturers" listings.

    3. The site must not be previously listed in the Project Guitar.com web site elsewhere.

    4. Home page links only- in other words 10 links that tell different things all from the same main website to boost your score isn't an option. They would and will count as 1.

    5. The first to post via time stamp of the board is the one who gets credit in the event two different people post the same link.

    6. Rules subject to change as needed in order to promote a healthy contest.

    7. Winners are responsible for any and all import taxes if you live outside of the continental United States.

    8. You must have a valid e-mail address listed in your profile so that I may contact you to find out what size and colors you want at the end of the contest.

Here is what you will win and how you are scored:

For each link used by Project Guitar.com, you will receive 1 Bobbin Topper (retail value $2 USD) furnished from Universal Jems.com. These will be distributed the following week after the closing of this month via standard air mail (included).

The person that list's the highest number of usable links will receive not only their Bobbin Toppers but also a Project Guitar.com coffee cup (retail value $12 USD) as grand prize for this contest.

There will be No substitutes of prize winnings. All prizes will be awarded as is and no cash prize's are available for this contest. In the event Universal Jems is out of the specific color of Bobbin Topper requested an alternate color should be provided at time of request for your list :D

    Let the contest begin B)

  3. Project Guitar.com while large in physical size for the average new website (approching 300 pages to date) is still what I consider to be in the beginning stages by far.

I will be expanding it in the future with a F.A.Q. section to point to for general topics on setting up and also adjusting different parts of a guitar as well as a broad spectrum of tutorials yet to be made.

I am now looking for Staff volunteers. The pay is next to nothing (for now) just the prestige of seeing your name on the site as "Staff author" or some other title. I wish I could offer more but as it is I'm running this on a shoe string budget to begin with. When I can I'll pass on product samples as some companies are starting to send them to me for review.

What I am looking for are volunteers to research the net in other forums and websites that offer information on working on guitars. Some of these are untapped areas to myself and it would be nice to see and also share what is learned from say the Jackson guitar people and fan forums. My problem is I simply do not have enough time to do it all even though I do have more than most.

If you're interested in helping out post a message here with what group or make of guitar your interested in doing the research on. If a conversation develops off topic to this thread I'm sorry but I will delete those posts.

Also keep in mind, having more than one person doing the same brand or subject is a good thing because it should produce many view points. After all there are numerous ways to paint a guitar without even taking into account the color.

I try not to log in as the administrator often but this particular subject is very important to me as I believe the best part of the internet is to be able to share what is available to those people intersted in learning..
