Bill: Had this been an oil rubbed finish or a grain filled hard-coat you would have likely gotten my vote. Looking at it inside might not show the grain so much but with the pictures you took, it is very noticeable. I love the tree pickups and the non traditional configuration of a Tele. I love pissing off Tele purists too.

I think I tried to go for too many things at once. I wanted coarse SG jr, but also glossy candy wood. I actually like how it turned out (not bad for a first guitar) but I'll probably refinish at some point, oil or filled...
