  1. Yeah, I'm gonna do 4 single coil pickups (so, pretty much 2 humbuckers), but they'll all be wired in parallell. I'll have one master volume and one master tone knob. What resistance value should I get for my volume knob?

  2. It's possible it was superglued to the pot, although I have no idea why someone would want to do that.

That could be it, actually. On the cheaper BC rich models, I've noticed a fair few of reviews commenting on how their knobs fell off. For example, two reviewers say so here:

Granted, its a different guitar but it might have the same knob and pot combination being from BC rich also. So, maybe the previous owner's knobs fell off and they decided to superglue them in.

  3. BTW, for the truss rod, can it just slide in, and be touching the fingerboard? kind of like letting the fingerboard be a cover, or do i need to put something else over it?

i think my tele just has the fingerboard to cover it

What kind of truss rod is it? (traditional single, double acting...etc)

  4. I've been considering getting a liscenced Floyd Rose off of ebay for pretty cheap. They don't come in the same models as the real deal, it seems. Basically I've only found single and double locking ones, none of the "original" or "pro" and whatnot. Does anybody have an opinion on what's better of the two? (I know the singles are cheaper and newer) Or should I just skip the whole venture because I won't get any tech support etc. from Floyd Rose with a liscenced model?

  5. Has anyone ever made a guitar with 2 pickups and a knob to adjust the balance between them rather than a selector switch? This would let you turn either or both on at whichever level you want while using only one knob (rather than 1 volume for each) and leaving the master volume unchanged.

You'd need a linear pot with one pickup wired to tab one, the other wired to tab 3, and the output from tab 2.

Has it been done, and if it hasn't, would it work?
