  1. Yeah I did go to Austin for a week on business. That was very nice. Colorado Springs is amazing. I think downtown Denver is pretty nice as well. They cleaned it up nicely when they built the ballpark. But I agree, the picturesque mountains in the background set the stage. Every city has its bad areas though. Denver is no exception.
  2. Denver is a great city with an amazing view. I can't say the same for Texas. I know a lot of the natives refer to it as "Gods Country" but I am thinking they do not get out much .
  3. Nice setups guys! I have it somewhat easy. My writing partner used to own a recording studio so he mixes everything with a Pro Tools HD setup. Probably a good thing too. In all honesty I could not spend more than a few hours mixing a tune. He will spend 40+ hours on one track. I just do not have the patience for that. How people can spend 2-4 hours eq'ing a snare is beyond me. pmarlin nice dual monitor setup!
  4. So I see the guitar and amp setup threads so I figured this would help complete the picture What is everyone using for home recording? I use a DigiDesign MBox with Pro Tools LE. The setup is outstanding even if the guy putting music into it isn't. Extremely clean results. I use a Behringer v-amp pro connected to it via an spdif cable. The sound is decent although I think I would like to get a PODxt. From the samples I have heard, the tone is pretty stellar.
  5. I use a Carvin SX300 Head with an old Fender Cabinet with 2-12" Celestions. For as little as I play out, it does the job nicely. I still would like to grab a decent tube combo amp. I use a behringer v-amp pro for recording.
  6. New guy checking in from Dallas by way of Denver When I feel like jamming, I look at my Cavin amp collecting dust, shake my head and pull out my Carvin CT6M. Then I turn on my PC, Pro Tools and my Behringer V-Amp Pro and toss on some cans. I have a 10 month old daughter so the amp has not seen a lot of work lately . I usually just pop in a drum loop and start writing. If the mood strikes me I will go acoustic. Love the sound of a nice clean acoustic.
