Does anyone know what the thickness of an SG body is. I think it's about 1-1/2" but I'm not totally sure. What about the bevels too? How deep are they? 1/2" maybe?

By gosh, it is just a power supply! Now I have no clue why I thought it was a transformer. Well thanks anyway dude, sorry for the trouble.

So I've got this transformer sitting here in my basement. I want to know if I can use it for building an amp. The specs on it are: "Ouput Power 200W Input 100 - 120V AC 5A, 200 - 240V AC 3A, 50/60 Hz, Output: +12V 6.0A Max +5V 18A Max +3.3V 10A Max -5V 0.3A Max -12V 0.3A Max +5VSB 0.72A Max CSA Level 3 Power Supply" That's really all it says on there and I'm pretty new to the whole amp business here so if anyone can tell me if it can be used that would be great and if it can't maybe someone can explain why? If anyone could explain all of those specs too maybe I can learn something here. Thanks guys I'm not sure if this is where this should go but hey I'll give it a shot.

Ok guys, I am building an ML styled guitar. I am going to put 6 knobs on it (Concentric Volumes, Master Volume, Concentric Tones, EMG AB, EMG RPC, and EMG SPC). I wanted to put Speed Knobs on it but the concentric knobs will look weird with that. I've looked at Stew Mac and Warmoth (my two main suppliers) and theirs wouldn't look right. Is there other knobs you guys have seen? Thanks for the help.

Thanks a lot. I almost don't want to chamber it just because there is the risk that bright snappy maple sound will be mellowed out. No one has played either the Bill Lawrence or the Dimebucker though? Thanks again.

Hey guys, I've been hanging around here a little while now and finally got a name. I just had a few questions for you guys if you have any experience on any of this stuff. This is for my second guitar, a guitar styled like a Dean ML. My first one was a super strat with a headstock kind of like an ESP reversed, EMG-81s, custom wiring with an EMG Afterburner, Original Floyd Rose Bridge, 24 fret rosewood fretboard, full maple neckthru construction. A real shred guitar. Anyways, my next one i want to be a Dean ML Styled guitar like I said. I want it to be full maple again because the sound is killer, real bright but with enough low end for me. I was wondering if this would be way to heavy for the ML body because the strat is 10 pounds if im correct and the body is even thinner than the normal 1-3/4". Could I hollow out chambers on the body without affecting to much like strength and would the sound not be as bright as the solid body? Another thing is the strap button placement. I have heard that the button being too high will make the guitar unbalanced so I am not sure if i should put it on the heel or the upper horn that hardly exists on this guitar. One last thing: has anyone here compared the Bill Lawrence 500XL pickup to the newer Seymour Duncan Dimebucker? I hear they are both good but can't decide and don't know the difference totally.
