I was wondering, how do you get a mirror-like silver finish, kinda like what ppl do on plastic parts to make them look like metal.. and i don't mean chrome...

Thx a lot! That answered my questions clearly!

I have a couple of questions about refinishing an acoustic guitar:
1. Is the stripping process the same as that of an electric guitar? (sand off all the paint, fill the grain then seal it)
2. How can I safely remove the binding and the bridge so that it can be reused after I'm through refinishing the guitar?
-
the MTM-1 has an EDGE FX EDGE... its the hardtail version of an Edge bridge...
-
erm.. actually what i meant by design isn't the body design, but the finish design... eg. drawing skulls or flowers etc etc on the body... sry for the confusion...
-
Go to the home page. theres a tutorial on removing and attaching the fingerboard...
-
About stripping the body with chemicals, after scrapping the paint off, what do you do get rid of all the chemicals? and does the chemical paint stripper remove the sand sealer too?
-
What do you draw designs? and is there any proper technique to do it so that it turns out nice?

sweet! thanks, bro..

leave it in the sun...? is that advisable..? also, i recently came across the Jimi Hendrix Monterey Pop Festival guitar and the it looks really cool. i would really want to do a refinish like that but i can't get a pic big enough to be able to see the design clearly.. any help?

Presuming i have a completely white guitar, is it possible to sand off all the clear, leaving the white as a base coat?
-
speaking of tone quality, does the grade/quality of the wood play a major role??
-
I haven't been here for quite a while... The reason I come once in a few months is to chek the progress on this guitar (and another RG neck-through:))... All I can say - W O W ! ! ! Is there a blueprint in Download Section of this guitar? Anyway, man, congrats!

Does anyone know how to get the colour of Jimi Hendrix' white guitar that he used in Woodstock.. the colour seems like the Fender Artic White but has a tinge of some other colour.. is it yellow..? how do get that colour using either translucent spray cans or dyes..??
-
haha.. that input jack and the way the guitar is placed makes it look like the guitar's got a ****... don't take it personally, bro... the guitar (with the exception on the input jack) looks great..
