My tool collection is growing slowly
at the moment I've got....
Bosch 1/4" Router
Rexon 4" Belt/Disc Sander
Ferm 1/3 Sheet Sander
Ferm Detail Sander
Ferm Power Planer
Ferm Pillar Drill
2 Carrol Drum Sanders
Small Drum Sander Kit
Dewalt Brad Point Drill Bits
Ryobi 750w Drill
Wolfcraft Portable Drill Stand
Kinzo 800w Jigsaw with laser guide
Set of no-name long drill bits
Set of 5 Forstner Bits
Record Dust Extractor
I think that's about it, a bandsaw and a 1/2 router is the next thing on the shopping list

There's a couple of good tutorials on stripping paint on the main site.

Awesome work as always Hyunsu
I've just used a power planer to plane a body blank for the first time today and it worked really well.

BLS, Slayer and Sabbath...it doesn't get much better than that
I just wish they could of brought the tour over to the UK

Question:
Why arst thou putting thy standard bridge in this guitar?
I wanted it to be different to an Ibanez, I didn't see the point of building an exact copy...not to mention it's easier for me as it's my first build...lol
Thanks american_jesus and Hyunsu

Further investigation showed that this guitar was only 8 years old!
8 years!
jeez that guitar has had a hard life.

I think I'm right in saying that the Dinky also has a smaller body, hence the name.

The finished bass....

Matt Freeman from Rancid

In the last few years I've brought and sold a few amps... a Line 6 Flextone, a Marshall MG100 DFX, a Marshall JCM 900 50w combo, but I was never totally happy with any of them
Until I swapped my JCM for a 2nd hand Peavey Transfex Pro 212s, and I can honestly say it's the best amp I've ever used, it's just incredible

I haven't touched the Walnut body blank since I took that last pic, this project was put on hold so I could concentrate on the RG. Then last week I spotted a battered Squire body going cheap on ebay, as I'm still desparate for some bass on some recordings I've been working on I decided to buy it so I can get a working bass built up quickly.
So here's the body....
It arrived this morning and when I got back from work this evening I fitted all the parts off the other bass. I had to drill new holes for the bridge as the Squire one is different, a new jack socket, some re-wiring, a bit of polish and a new set of strings and it was finished
The body has quite a few dings and dents but as I wanted it for a cheap workhorse it doesn't bother me, and the main thing is it plays and sounds really good. I'll post some pics of the finished bass tomorrow
....only 1 problem... what should I build out of the Walnut body blank?
-
Currently I've got....
1 electric, an electro acoustic and a classical all complete and working. I'm refinishing a Jackson Rhoads, building a RG style body and a superstrat body and I'm also building a P-bass copy from parts.

I've always prefered humbuckers, and after playing a friend's Jackson Rhoads with EMG 81/85's I know what my next pay cheque is going on

MAIDEN!
altough I respect Priest, I've never really got into there music.
-
Both of the Jacksons in this video are really nice, especially the white one. I think its a performer.
The Tower
Performers are the cheap Jap models that poor people like me buy
Adrian Smith is playing a USA King V in that video, I saw him and Bruce on the 'Chemical Wedding' tour, it was one of the best nights of my life, they were amazing.
