do you have a customer lined up or are you planning on selling it online or something else?
-
kinda funny that he doesnt have anything about it on his site ive heard about him going out of buissness from like five different places but still no change on his site. He has to be one of the sketchyest guys ive ever seen.

ive seen some pics of gibson gluing in necks before and even on custom shop double necks they really cut corners. It did not look like they had a good joint at all.
-
Has anyone here ever done session work ive been thinking about trying to become a session musician and im taking a course on it at national guitar workshop in a few weeks but wanted to know if anyone here had any experience.

carvin sells guitars with just sperzels so like rgman says it should be fine the locking nut would be better but tuners are easier. Sorry i forgot to mention when i said route i meant if you want to recess it. Sorry for the confusion.

Hi guys i stained my sg body yesterday with 4 coats of water based minwax green stain. Today i followed that with two coats of deft laquer sanding sealer. Will tung oil be a good option for the final coating and if so do i still wetsand and buff like laquer and what is an ideal curing time thanks For the help. By the way id like to be able to use the guitar in a little more than a week. Will i be able to or am i gonna have to use a different guitar. Thanks in advance.

i met bucket head last year
well anyways...
I wanted a killswitch but I wanted to keep my control area simple. 1 pickup, 1 volume. No Frills.
Is there anyway i could rewire that strat S-1 switching knob thing on that strat?
dont worry he wasnt that great of a guy he came to the guitar camp i went to The national guitar workshop he was actually really rude great player though Hope you get the switch working good it is a really cool effect that isnt too expensive and sounds better then alot of stomp box effects.

you can install a floyd in almost any guitar dimebag darell installed the floyds in his original mls when he was younger. If you look at the old pics you can tell. You just have to route to accomidate and drill for the studs. Im not sure on installing the nut but im sure someone on here can tell you.

is it possible to get more merabau that wood would probably look pretty good as a top too.

definetly wait a month to two months i heard somewhere gibson waits on custom shop models for 6! they make sure the finish is absolutely dry. Good luck with your finish.
-
thanks so much that helps me alot i just undid all the electronics to do the finish so when im done with that ill check it. Thanks again.

would the guitar still play if it was mixed because it played the only thing messing it up was the string ground it made it buzz when i touched the string. Also is there a certain way to tell the ground from the hot besides trying it. My experience is more in wood working so im not to educated in wiring. Thanks.
-
one quick question how much wood working experience do you have? and also check the in progress fourum and look at the squre strat to lespaul conversion that turned out pretty well.
-
hey guys i hope some one can answer my question. I wired up my guitar today and feel really dumbe because its a one humbucker sg so it should be simple. I wired it all up then ran a ground from the back of the pot to the bridge. I thought this grounded the strings but every time i touched them they buzzed. Once i took that out it stopped. What did i do wrong? Thanks in advance. Heres a pic of how i wired it.
-
first coat of color on the body today! The grain looks really good so far I put the bridge on earlier and it strung up good just need to do a setup to get rid of the buzz. Hopefully it will be done before i meet George Lynch in a couple weeks.
Edit: by the way i wnet with the green
