madinter, wood supplier for luthiers in spain, more oriented to non fretted instruments
-
the pickup zone is now routed so i will beging now to fill that part with balsa + laminate
-

i got a basswood strato S-pool routed and was wondering the best method to convert it to rear routed and hardtail, is pretty the same like the fr to ht tutorial, i got some questions
i got spare pieces of beech wood, is a good election to fill??
some friend suggested me to put a top piece in the guitar, it can result fine with basswood?
the internal routings are bad ones so blocks of wood dont fill fine, whats best, use shims of some other wood or re-rout?
im open to sintetic materials and cheap ones, i have 1 mm aluminium sheets that i can use
i will install a humbucker in bridge and maybe a rail pickup in neck, the guitar is going to be use to trash and death metal so the tone is not fundamental in this one
and thanks for the sustainer scheme¡¡ i im going to do it in this one!

i think, a Crakleburst can be awesome, center in white with orange-Uv green cracked sunburst

the strat is like the ak47 in the guitar world
-
the total that i got is 635mms, i liked to buy an steinberger, an some kramers, but the shipping to spain kill me
the desing in the semiheadless is interesting, but i think that the head had resonance
i haven´t experience with tension in short scale, it can be a problem? or can help to get strength in the fingers?
i have done a template, is a ibanez S stile body, this is still in the plan phase
-
i pass a lot of time in front of the pc and the room and my brother pc dont let me enough space to play in the chair, so, why not build a mini guitar?
the design wil be neck thru, i was searching thinks like this and the only ones i found where the dean mini, but i got luck and founded this babies in the japanese esp web
i prefer the very short scale approach better to try to do a steinberger desing or some else
i would go with a single humbucker 520mm/22frets neck maybe scalloped, and use some sintetic materials
the hard stuff will be the tuners i think...
some ideas¿?
