i´m having problems fretting my first guitar , the frets gets non-parallel, with 1mm differences, whats the best method to avoid this¿? it happens in fret 7 to up
i´m thinking in do a clear-plastic fret rule... to check the frets
someone got more ideas?

try better first the wiring in series that uses brian may, you can use the stock strat pickups and is versatile
you can always do the other someday... seriously try this, it is very pretty with cheap strats
-
500t in neck with 1 meg pot
-
i was in home browsing, then something appeared in my ****ed mind
try this
get an optical mouse, put it in top of an guitar/bass in the neck pickup position, six big e string
play the string¡¡, the pointer vibrates a lot ¡¡
then, it is basically a ligthwave system, at 10 eur the cheap optical mouse, can buy 4 cheap to get the optical sensors and led from they, they will do the basics for a bass pickup, the hard thing is the optical/sound circuit
some more ideas? this can be a good one open proyect

****ing cool, i´m drooling about the new variax model too
-
you only has to wire they in series and reverse phase
the problem can be that if the sum of output can be excessive, and the guitar can no have space to the baseplates
what models are?
-
yeah, the prs saga kit, plug and play

you can use a polymeter i think to read the pickup and compare it to factory specs
if the pickup don´t have the 4 wires (then they are from a guitar not buy alone) you can find they in a side covered with tape, to split coils
-
hum,
they usually have gibson engraved in the baseplate, the screws indicate if the pickup is of neck or bridge, the magnets in this pickups has a lot of power
if is a 500 t try it in the neck position with 1 meg volume pot, no tone
****ing awesome pickup

mask the zone to cut with tape
then use a electronic type soldering iron (use a old one or one cheap, the plastic melt ruin the extreme) 2 or 3 mm of the border, the plastic of pickguards smell a lot but its easy to cut it with the iron
finish the border with cutters or a good knife, the edge requires time to end it good, i think is a good idea to put a humbucker mounting ring in this one, but check if the strings can permit this
