  1. No. It wasn't Ed Roman. Found it on ebay. Maple neck with purple heart stripes and walnut wings. 1 1/2" thick. This guy must sell more than a few of these on ebay cause there were a lot of good feed back from previous buyers.

:D phew thank god it wasnt ed , for a minute i thought youd been ripped off. Sounds like a cool bird to me.

  2. Just purchased a mockingbird neck through body blank. I haven't received it yet but was wondering what to expect as far as the neck to body angle. Do the Mockingbirds have a straight neck to body like the Fender or are they at an angle like the Gibson?

Where'd you get it from ? Please tell me it wasnt Ed Roman :D

Oh , and it should have an angle like a gibson.

  3. I know Maiden uses a seymour duncan JB or JB junior in the bridge , then duncan hotrails in their neck and middle. Im sure you could fit a battery in your guitar. Metallica uses EMG 81's and i think SA's if the use singles which are both active.....

  4. Here's a pic of the trems:

And some more info from the seller:

"These are split bridges, meaning they have independent movement of half the strings, pitch up and pitch down. Possible to do funky things like pedal steel bends. They have a "zero position" unit that works with the normal springs in the rear cavity. This helps tuning after heavy use (the piece in the center of the picture)."

:D Wow..... If i had the money id snag them just to see what they are like.

  5. Well I am looking more for the locking tuners only because I have a floyd rose in the guitar and a roller nut instead of the typical locking nut. I don't plan to completely dive the strings so the Locking tuners should be adequate to keep it somewhat in tune.

:D I forgot to mention they were locking tuners. B)

Wouldnt be interested in a d-tuna would ya ?

  6. Mako did make set necks, also great solid body les pauls and explorers etc. This is definately no BC rich, regardless what the decal says. I have played 2 exact the same Mako bich guitars, both same headstock and set neck construction. Both plywood. Maybe you're lucky with the solid maple.

BC rich also never made such a trusrod adjustment on the headstock, not even the low budget types.

Also, this type is set neck was never done by bc rich.

    B)

But still a good deal for $60 :D

Its definatly not a rich. Might even be a hondo. Im trying to remember which BCR knockoffs used that headstock. Ill check it out later.
