  1. For sale... one Ibanez Universe MUlti Colour.... Made in 1990 I believe and in less than great condition... has been gigged a hell of a lot I'll be honest... wanting about 1000 UK pounds stirling for it. Its in good nick except for some slight makes on the back ( where my belt caught the paintwork ) :D But then it has been used in some damn fine gigs!!!! B)

So make an offer! Pics to follow shortly!!!!

    Cheers!

  2. Hey guys... Dont really know if anyone is interested in this but I have to sell some of my Formula 1 memorabilia... ( Its getting a bit silly now... ) So I'm selling a pencil drawing by Michael Savage of Ayrton Senna in memorium of his death in 1994. The picture is framed and is signed by the artist himself. It was a limited run of 100 prints or something and I paid about 150 pounds for it back in 1996 including the frame... anyone interested check out the link below!

    Cheers!

  3. Well what can I say.... the ring won! I gave in and took her down to get it today... she was more than pleased!! :D

However I did then walk into the paper shop and buy no less than four guitar mags which I can now leave strategically around the house with an open page on the PRS!!!! haha! :DB)B):D

Who says women are better manipulators than men.....

Spanks for all your help guys... :D

  4. OMG!!! Are you in Melbourne too Matia????????

I thought I was the only one. Go figure :D hehe.

I live out Pakenham way, where are you?

Hey Bear Yeah I live between the UK and OZ. ( Maria the future wife is Greek Australian! and was born in Melb... ) I have a house in Ivanhoe, nothern melbourne! Visit Manny's guitar shop on Chapel St quite a bit... they get some great stuff in there man! I have to say Melb is without doubt the best place on the earth to live!!!

Where do you shop for your guitars if you do locally? I'm always on the lookput for decent Guitar shops to tinker around in! We should really organise some kind of a jam or something...! B)

    Take it easy dude!

  5. Yep gotta hand it to you bro this is without doubt one of the most informative, friendly and intersting guitar forums out there! Personally I think its the best! :D

The tutorials are simple and easy to understand and the photos actually show you exactly what going on! Having ordered some stuff of Bri recently I have to say he puts up with all the questions and gives you direct and honest answers! I think we should write to the queen B) to give him an OBE or something... for services rendered to the self build guitar world!!! haha

Congrats man keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!!!!

    B)B):D:DB):D

  6. :D There was a guy here in Manchester who was caught selling Fender fat strat deluxes on ebay... he was also advertising them in his shop in manchester... the actual guitars turned out to be squires with a new logo applied to make it look like a proper strat... guess that kinda made me really suss about this kind of thing!

There are some reallly dodgy people out there but also some good ones... I apologise to purple guitars completely!

  7. Have A look at the other stuff this guy is selling... he is offering some very exclusive guitars here... and yet not one of the items he is selling has an actual picture of the guitar itself???? Only Magazine shots?! Nah something seems a little strange here to me... Personally Dan I say FAKE! Very dodgy...

    :D

  8. Hey guys I'm desperately needing to find one of the above quickly... The guy I had gotten one off has decided he now dosent want to sell it... ahhhh Anyways I'll look at anything thats in good to fair condition... The cash is ready and waiting and I'll pay a fair price...

Anyone has one or knows where I can get one let me know. ( No I dont wanna go through poo bay!!! )

    Cheers guys!

    :D

  9. Actually I'm a huge fan of walnut!!! I've had some really good tones through some of the strat copies I've done in the past the only drawback I've found is that its bloody heavy wood!!!! But then if its been dried for 30 years or so moisture should be pretty well taken care of... if I were you I'd have a go and see what you think... thats the only real way to learn after all... :D

  10. Yeah I do actually brian. I was originally thinking of making up my own paste using wood glue and the dust and what have you left over... but didnt know if it would work very well? Thing is I got this piece of Ash cos its got a beautiful grain to it... I'll try post a pic...

As you can see its still really early days as yet... but with it being such a nice chunk of Ash I'd really like to try and use its best feature... the grain! Anyways if you have any tips on using the bits and dust let me know bri... I may have a go with a scap piece I have left over and see what it dries like!

    Cheers!

    :D

  11. Hey guys.. ok I have had a bit of a prob with a couple of areas of my solid body when routing the shape out... B) its chipped the wood in a couple of areas... nothing massive but very noticeable. :D I wanna finish the guitar with a nice translucent blue and I'm looking at the moment for a couple of good filling products that wont show up once the laquer is applied. The wood is ash so any help with what the best fillers out there are for this kind of job mucho appreciado.

    Cheers :D
