Hi,
I have the opportunity to purchase a 1973 Fender Twin Reverb for $800CDN.
It sounded great when I tried it today but has a repaired hole in the grill cloth and the exterior is slightly beat up.
What should a used Twin cost these days??? Is there anything I should look for? Apart from the exterior is looked like it was in really good shape.
Good or bad buy?
cheers

Cool, thanks for your reply.
I think they are the right size. Hard to tell exactly.

Does anyone have a digikey part number for the type of switches on a Jaguar?
I think this is the switch:

Fig. 7 - SW333ND
Thoughts?

I watch eBay like a hawk, but import duty is absolutely ridiculous.
I've thought of making a Fender VI baritone, but it would be hard cause I don't have all the tools you need. I can paint bodies, that's about it.
I just want some beat up guitars to tune weird and play around with.
Thanks.

Hi
I'm looking for a Jaguar or Jazzmaster. It can be a copy, a beat up orginal or reissue (japanese or us).
Cosmetic condition is NOT an issue. All that matters is the neck is straight, the electronics work and it has a bridge setup similar to a standard Jag.
Please email me if you have something to offer. If you are in Canada or Washington State that would be awesome.

Cool....
Thanks for your replies.
I'm going to have to try and find a new neck somewhere. The 27" scale helps.

Hi
I have a question I hope someone can answer.
Is it possible to turn a standard guitar into a baritone by just changing the strings and adjusting the setup? Or is a baritone a fundamentally different design?
I have been looking for a Fender VI (original or copy) for a couple years now and they are ridiculously expensive (at least for my budget).
Any help would be appreciated, I need that sound!

Thanks for the relpies.
I had already checked prepal, but they don't have a Twin Reverb listed, just a Cyber Twin and an Evil Twin.
