Ok for my first project i am deciding to do a LP or an SG is there a difference in building them or is it essentially the same.. One fun fact : does anyone know what SG stands for??? anyone??? anyone?? Bueler? Bueler?

k iv replaced the pickups in my old epiphone fat-strat knockoff, (any one want the old ones lol ) iv put the humbucker in and it works fine but for some reason the two single coils do not...have i done somthing wrong....oh one of those single coils is a tele pickup..yea i dunno what went wrong, any help would be nice

i love bargins, i just traded an old cymbal stand from my drum set for 4 pickups, two strat single coils, one dual coil humbucker from a gibson, and one tele front single coil from a jackson...a good deal guys?? i think so

i understand that brain is by far the best choice for necks in terms of what your getting for your money, j/w does he have any paddle headstocks, not the strat or tele style but gibson style paddles b/c what im making need the three tuners on each side.....perhaps brian is the only one who can answer this.......

does it ever make sense! wow thanks alot...well if you work with molding are there any other composite materials you know of...oh and i wouldn't be using the real guitar just a "body" made of MDF (cheap and soft wood)

k guys my new project, a replica airline, here are all the questions i have so i can stop annoying you pros with my beginner questions K so i want to make this guitar with two humbucker (already ordered) two tones, two volumes, and one master volume, what kinda of pots would i need to use, Number Two: as well seeing as this is my first project should i make my own neck or not, i can get one for $100 and this is a brand new one of decent quality, or would building one cost less, as well is it difficult in terms of being accurate. k number three: where can you find vinyl binding, or how can i make it myself???? wheres a good place to get vintage looking knobs. and where can i find pickguard blanks as my pickguard is probably not made commercially. Four: what is shielding?? its used to ground eveything together correct?? but what are the specifics?? well thats all for now, ill probably have more questions answered, and blessed be the person who can answer all these questions in one fowl swoop! thanks guys!

so basically what i am hearing is it will not be possible to simply buy fiber glass in the woven form, lay it down on the body, apply the resin or whatever (i will do some research) and then cut it off afterwards?.....if not any ideas on other composite materials, i really want this to be hollow and not wood.....

it wil be hollow body, like wioth two shells then they meet at the binding

does no one know of where i can find 1/2 inch white vinyl binding?

k so i know iv made any posts on this project but i have some other questions, here i go... k so the guitar im building is the jack white airline guitar There it is, beauty ain't it, well the not solid body, its hollow and made of two'shells' made of fiber glass, so i was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to mould this baby properly, my idea is to have the body cut out in some cheap wood, i.e. MDF, and then after routing aand neck pocketing proceed to lay piberglass on it then play fiber glass on the inside of this oe ply shell so the original shape is not altered grossly....a bit complicated i know for my first project but i have to finish now aswell any one know where i can get some 1/2 ' vinyl binding???? thanks guys

k on my guitar im building im putting a bigsby tail piece heres a pic so what kind of bridge would i need...... aswell anyone know where i can get a cheap bigsby or know of any bigsby clones???? also i want a nice big paddle neck so i can make it look like a gumby headstock as i have not been able to find one, any ideas on where to get those besides warmoth (too pricy) sorry to ask all these question but when i ask them at long and mcqaude they look at me funny and are complete ass holes lol thanks guys

lol! so true, however i have heard he still uses the original PUs, im thinking some cheap PUs (say epiphone or .... dunno) got any ideas for some PUs with Crunch

k i need some help, for those of you who have heard this guitar in action, or have heard The White Stripes (weather you like them of not) any idea on how to get that pickup sound, i doubt i can go to the store and ask for "the pickups of a 1964 jb hutto aitline guitar" any idea what might give me that nice "crunch" thanks alot guys!
