AFAIK, "Tone Chamber" is a fancy way of saying "We tooke chunks of wood out of the body". They can add to the tone, much in the same way as making a guitar semi-hollow, but in some cases (Les Paul) they are used to reduce weight. Hold on a mo while I find this link I'm thinking of...

I want a conklin 7 string! (Don't think I could handle an 8 stringer)
-
One word: Bitchin'
-
Me too!! I did it cos I saw Zakk do it, and he strummed it and it made high pitched noise that i thought were cool.

Oh, and th scale length will be the distance from the nut to the 12th fret times 2
-
The intonated string length is never shorter than the scale length, so assuming your measurement and placement is spot on, you should measure the scale length to the saddles, when they are at their furthest forward point. If that doesn't make as much sense as I hoped, please tell me. Or ask Perry (rhodes56)

ok...well...you smell!!
*sticks tongue out*

You can't use active pickups as passives as far as I know. They're different. They have a built in preamp (which means you don't have to get one), but need a battery to work. But I dunno. Wait for Lovekraft or ansil, or someone with electrickery knoehow

excuse me! I was here before both of you!!

It's alright, I just know not alot about acoustics, but still wanted to help, so I suggested the Acoustic section.
-
Try the Acoustic section...
-
You obviously don't play hard enough!!
-
gah. i would've bought the shadow.
ditto that. if i had the money, i would have bought it in a second.
-
Did you say it was 8 inches wide? If you did, it won't be wide enough for a tele, I don't think. If I remember correctly, at the widest point, Teles are about 12 inches wide.
EDIT: Please ignore this post, as I just saw you are going to do a 2 piece body. Seems I should read more carefully

Theres an LP Junior on guitar build, which is good for the shape of the LP
-
Damnit!! I got owned
I also used a geeky forum term
-
Satriani uses an Ibanez Edge Pro, unless I'm mistaken, which is a Floyd copy. Hence the retainer bar. As far as one vs the other, you'll need to wait for someone with more knowledge than I.
-
About the strings, I remember reading something about there being only one manufacturer for now, but soon all the major manufacturers will be tooled up to make Speedloader strings.
-
Hows that Perry?
-
How many designs for a V do you get??
they do,of course ,all look pretty similar....
That's mainly what I was getting at. The exact specs may differ a bit, but when it comes down to it, Flying V's are only ever one shape. V shaped.

Same as the others. Wiring detracts from overall looks
