  1. so far i have two peices of mohogany glued to gether and the neck cavety cut out.

    :D

it will have mohogany body and neck and a G10 fret bord .im going to make the pickups from scratch :D transluctant black finesh. B)

mistake. the router grabed the the wood and skiped over it and cut a notch in the wood :D it will go away when i carve the body.

  2. do you finish the neck and body sepritly and then glue them together or do you glue them together and mask them of and finish it then? :D

do you finesh the front and back of the body at the same time?

what is the minimum temp you can finish at I will be finishing at winter and the bigest room i can paint in is about 10 by10 ,in other words how do you finish aguitar at winter time? :D

  3. Slightly OT but if someone gave you enough mahogany for 4 bodies and necks you should be thanking them enthusiastically.

I bought enough Mahogany for a bit more than one body and it was almost $80.

You scored big if it was gratis!

    what does OT mean :D

he got it a cuple years back when the company he works for had to get rid of it becaus someon who worked there got sick becaus of it and sued them .

so they had to get rid of the mahogony.

ive defenetly got lots of people to thank

my ( only)electric guitar is a yamaha pacifica and it was given to me for free!by a very nice guy.

and my parents gave me $50 to help buy my amp (not to mintion providing food and a house)

  4. how much should i pay for tuners they cost lots more than i thought they would :D are the cheap ones any good?

i want to have a realy good guitar but $50 fore tuners seems a bit more than i want to spend.

should i just spend the money or get the $15 ones.

  5. although you say you think it will make things easier, I'd be worried that it would make things more complicated actually! :D

I was thinking more of looks than how easy it would be to make.

I want to make every thing but the tuners and strings my self B) i have made two folding knives so i gues making an adjustable bridge wont bo to hard.

would stainless steal work fore the bridge or do you have to use brass?

how do you set the intonation anyway :D

  6. I think it would help if you could explain a little more, and even link to a picture of something like what you have in mind.

Most solid body bridges are adjustable, in terms of height (for action) and string length (for intonation)

Do you mean you want to make a bridge like an acoustic guitar?
