I can save my money until christmas and then I would get another 100 dollars
but I mean tools not materials like fretwire or a fretboard
and I didn't mean just fretting tools I mean all tools in general
will I need a staight edge stuff like that

I think I would go with the soloist as it is probably better quality
I think jackson uses seymour duncan pickups in the soloist too
If you do get a soloist get one with a carved top they look the sweetest

this is my first build and my mom is giving me 100 bucks toward it if I did chores
and I did the chores so know I have 100 bucks to blow
my school has most of the power tools I will need
ex. band saw, router, table saw, drill press, scroll saws, planer
they also have some hand tools I might need like hand planers, spokeshave
So I need a specialty tool or many specialty tools that are most imortant
that I can't get by with out!
I was thinking maybe jaws from stewmac might be a very helpful tool to speed up the fretting process

Fluorescent Colors
This type of acrylic is a transparent acrylic where the edges will glow a fluorescent color. This product is very unique, It collects the light in the room and makes the edges of the acrylic glow a bright fluorescent color. I think this would make for a cool inlay

Colored Mirrors
This type of Acrylic is colored mirrors. It has a silver coated mirror backing on it, just like regular glass mirrors. The clear mirrors are just like regular glass non tinted mirrors.

If you are interested I can get you any color acrylic that is a basic color for inlays
~1/8" thick
~special mop acrylic
~only comes in 12"x24"
~flourescent pink, orange and green for you creative folks
~transparent and opaque colors
~some colors are also available in 1/16" thick
~acrylic mirrors are also available gives a reflection I don't know about the effect in an inlay
~depending on color and quantity price may vary
~the more you buy the less it costs you
~I have a pretty large supply of the common acrylics
~clear can be sold for 3-D inlays check brian's tut. on the main site
~I bought large sheets from a family friend so it doesn't cost you as much
