  1. shut up and go away didn't kevan tell you

if you if you don't have anything to say donnot say anything at all

does the jackson guitar site say how long the horns are or how thick it is at the edge and how thick it is at the center for a carved top

    point taken

    but no more negativety

everybody but litchfield please keep posting and ignore his stubbornity to let stuff go

    :D

  2. please if you are selling something take 15 minutes max out of your day and please take the measurements and send them to Brian he will put them in the download section

take enough measurements and your able to access the download section :DB)

and since you sent in the measurements everyone else has access to them :D:D

    can't you see everyone wins

    rock on :D

  3. I don't know I live about an hour and a half from there so if I went there it would be for

buying masses and masses of wood (gas is so friggin expensive)

why don't you call them and they might check and make you only pay shipping

what do you have to lose

    P.S. notice I didn't use any smilies

    :DB):D

    P.S.S. nevermind

  4. is there a difference in the sound tonal wise

by the way dr. Jabsco and Lovecraft thanx for the replies

    much appreciated

Jabsco that is a good site if you are fluent in the schematic language

:D but I should probably learn if I am going to wire guitars

    rock on B)

  5. basswood is a good wood for a body

    but

It may not be the best for a neck because of how soft it is

The neck would have a tendency to bend

of couse, because it is softer, it is easier to work with

It is cheaper because it is one of the softest hardwoods

:D read a book on woods your local library should have one

I bought a book full of hardwoods that says their woodworking qualities

hardness, price, toxity, power tools or hand saws, porous or non porous, stability

these are all things to pay attention to when buying wood for making a guitar

    B)

  6. I would buy one, the book has sections on how to build 3 different guitars

a carved top guitar which came in handy to me 'cause i plan on having a carved top

    plus

There is a section on how to build a neck-through guitar which was some info I couldn't find anywhere else because I plan to build a neck-through guitar and was having trouble finding info

I would also suggest while your at the bookstore pick-up (no pun intended) :D Larry Robinson's book "The Art Of Inlay"

I bought both of them on Amazon just recently for a little over 30 bucks

Amazon's a great dealer I ordered free shipping because I spent over 20.00

so the package was supposed to come in 7-8 days and I got mine in 3 days

    peace out B)
