  1. my first was a les paul, done with a chisel and a scroll saw. It was painful.

I would recommed a tele or something flat and bolt on.

I would build a body first then try building a neck. Cheap necks can be bought on ebay, and your first guitar should be done with no expectations, since it is learning exp, specially if you have no woodworking exp.

  2. I may dump the big one. Its nice and all of that but wife is not sooooo happy with it. This smaller one I can get into the basement....

I like replacing the motors since I know its new and don't have to worry about it at all. Plus some motors are cheaper than others. I may just find a motor with the same shaft size and rig it so it fits correctly

With a phase converter, I need 6 gauge to the garage... I can't run another line.

  3. I know what a lot of you mean. I had that same sort of LGM fustration, last week.

If I was not making money or if customers didn't want I wouldn't sell it, I win some auctions I loose others. All my prices are market driven, how many people you see list stuff at a penny? People pay what they want.

Side story, I bought a blues brothers poster a couple of years ago. i thought it was an original/ didn't matter to me if it was. I paid almost 270 bucks for a 10 reprint. Some dude was mifffed that spent the same amount. He wanted to file a complaint. I said I would have paid 500+ I wanted this poster for so long never have seen it again. I knew what I wanted and got it. People pay what they want. I didn't ask the guy back for 250 bucks, since it cost him all of 2 bucks to make...

Its like people want to comment when they don't have anything to say but still say something, thats the fustration.

I offer deals, I offer refunds, I call it as I see it, in my world. I have made some mistakes and learned from them. I know what I sell and I do a pretty good job at it.

  4. not to be an ass, but when was the auction section open to comments? buy it or don't. I have the piece of wood in my hands, I know what its worth. All my auctions get refunds if they are not happy so what gives?
